I hate to do this considering I've had many great memories here, but they are no longer the premier theater in Idaho Falls. Let me explain. Tonight I had the displeasure of attempting to see a movie at 11. We were 15 minutes late, and we rushed to the "ticket" (concession booth) to get tickets. To our dismay they impatiently told us they had closed 5 minutes earlier. I feel bad for the girl working the counter as you could see she felt really bad, but the manager seemed angered and annoyed and quickly ran off to the break room to avoid supposed "conflict". I would've been satisfied with some information about their protocol, but he didn't seem to care. We were obviously disappointed and confused, but we tried to understand. The problem is the fact that they have an obligation to stay there to sell concessions and manage the theater while a movie is playing, but making a single sale for tickets was too big an inconvenience for them. I really believe that this was mostly on the manager, as most of the workers seemed like they wanted to work with us, but he put his foot down and left. Thus ends our eventful night and my story. I want this theater to succeed, but their prices, and quality of the theater is not up to par with their competition. The Paramount theater group is half the price, and honestly their seats are much better, pair this with showing new movies and it's a no brainer. Ultimately I would opt for another theater in the future for a myriad of reasons that were mentioned and went unmentioned.

I know COVID has been tough on theaters but come on. If you expect people to come back for the theater experience it has to at least be as good as my living room. First off, a can of WD-40 is like 4 bucks. Every old, uncomfortable seat in the theater squeaks and squeals like a 100 year old rocking chair, which can really ruin the moment in a quiet part of the movie when you've got a fidgety kid in front of you. Next, the sound in our theater was pathetic. I went to see Top Gun in a movie theater so I could feel the roar of the jets screaming overhead. Instead, they've obviously had to turn the volume down to try and keep us from noticing that half the speakers are blown and clapping terribly every time there was action. Finally, that can't be 4K. My $800 TV looks better than what I was seeing on the screen. The movie was fantastic, but if this is the best we've got in town, I'll just wait for the streaming release and save the $60 on ridiculously overpriced treats to boot. I'm not normally a negative reviewer, but that was just sadly disappointing.

Nice theater but prices are way too high. Also, when you go to the 7:15 show, the movie should start before 7:38.

Great movie theater. The seats are really comfortable and the theater experience was really good. I watched Dr. Strange 2 with friends and it was a easy theater to get us all sitting next to each other and enjoying the movie.

Thanks for your help
No its just a movie like any other movie. It has to come to the theater they say opening weekend to hype up the sells for it making it feel like something special is happening. Tickets cost the same as if you bought next weekend. I do suggest you buy you tickets earlier in day because shows on opening weekend sell out.
