Started with casella as a new customer on July 13th was told I'd have my bin within a week or two, 6 weeks went by still no sign of my bin called four or five times spoke to four or five different girls over the phone promise to call me back promise to expedite the bin still nothing canceled today. I ordered Pinards $84 per quarter have to get your own bins

It is not often i take the time to write a review but after using a service for 26 years I feel it is warranted. I started using this service when it was one guy and a pick up truck. best customer service ever he would show up every week and take my trash with no hassles or complaints then stateline bought him out and the service continued without flaw still maintained the excellent customer service and there was never any issues Now along comes Casella who raised the prices and dropped the services provided. The customer service has gone straight to the dump Pun intended They changed pick up days which is understandable as I understand some things need to change to make it more efficient but to only provide half of the service to me is unacceptable Upon contacting them about not taking all of the trash I was basically told oh well this is how we are doing it now like it or not. I was not offered a solution to the issues I was having just an OH Well.. So after 26 years of reliable service this is how they treat loyal customers. The smug response of we have been in business for over 40 years and we will be fine with out your business pretty much sealed the deal for me....

Our old service was sold off to Cassella. This is the second time in just a few short months they have missed THEIR scheduled pick up day at our home. I've been trying to connect with them via phone and as I type this out, I have been waiting for over 22 mins for a "Customer Care Representative". Yes, I am fully aware how ridiculous this is and such a waste of time but I'm determined to get a live person on the phone and ensure that people who read Google reviews see this! So far I am not impressed by their service or their "customer care" response. They certainly don't waste ANY time taking your money on a monthly basis! How I'd love to be able to say "Your payment is important to me. Please continue to hold while I find my banking information" over and over again for more than 22 mins!!!! UPDATE - After speaking with a Customer Care Rep, I was told I would receive a call back once they were able to determine the issue. I did get a follow up call about three hours after hanging up, she was very nice. They did come out to pick up the trash. I still don't feel the customer should have to follow up, wait on a long hold to determine it was their error.

Terrible experience with this company, twice. Reviews speak for themselves, if you can’t score a 3 on google reviews, you’re doing something wrong. Used their service for the first 2 months of moving to our new home, was abysmal from the onset. Miscommunications on the types of bins we would be provided, what recycling would be picked up. Was told by one agent they would pick up barrels rented as well as barrels we owned……..fast forward a week or two I put out a full Cassella 96 gallon (or whatever those big bins carry) and a small rinkey dink 30 gallon garage barrel with maybe a couple kitchen bags full. I watched as the driver emptied our home owned barrel and left the “Casella” barrel without emptying it…. Mind boggling. Fast forward, we switched to Stateline, who we were satisfied with, that than got bought out by Casella….. the reason for the review, unfortunately we are dealing with them again, and reminded us how bad they were. Our contract is almost up (after more miscommunications and multiple billing errors, and lack of empathy from their “service” reps) and we’re gonna go with Pinard, heard nothing but good things about them.

Yes most towns are delayed after a holiday.
Please call 800-CASELLA to schedule a pickup if you have large materials that do not fit inside your curbside container.
No. Do not place your Zero-Sort recycling into bags. It is preferable that your recyclables be placed directly into your Zero-Sort recycling container.
Items made of plastic, which include laundry baskets, 5-gallon pails, plastic chairs and general household items.
No. Plastic bags or films of any kind are not accepted in Zero-Sort recycling. To recycle grocery bags, please bring them to a participating grocery or retail store near you.
Zero-Sort recycling is Casella's state-of-the-art process, which enables all recyclables - paper, cardboard, plastic, glass, and metal cans to be collected in one container eliminating the need for you to separate recyclables.
Recyclables should be rinsed clean of any food waste. Corrugated cardboard boxes should be broken down into 18" x 18" max pieces. Lids and caps can remain on empty plastic bottles. DO NOT tie newspaper or cardboard with twine.
Yes. Items that can't be recycled should be tossed into your trash container. Your Zero-Sort recycling container is for recyclables only - paper, cardboard, plastic, glass, and metal cans. Please do not place any trash items in your Zero-Sort recycling container as this can cause contamination.
Our billing is monthly so if you have any service during the month you will be billed for the entire month.
Please store all hazardous waste, including batteries, in a safe place in your home until there is a rescheduled household hazardous waste day in your community. It is very important that household hazardous waste NOT be disposed of as regular waste in your bin.
Great question! On many of our routes, Casella operates what are known as split-body trucks. With a split-body truck, the trash and Zero-Sort recycling are dumped into the same opening on the truck but are separated by different compartments. These modernized vehicles keep the trash and recycling separate and facilitate the collection of both materials on the same trip.
Unfortunately, there is no set time. Please place containers at the curb the night before your scheduled pickup day.
We will still be collecting your waste and your recycling separately at this time, and there is no anticipated change in your level of service.
No. Trash containers are intended for municipal solid waste (household trash) only. For disposing of construction debris please call 800-CASELLA to discuss renting a dumpster.
The guidance we have received from OSHA is that regular waste generated in a household where someone has been diagnosed with the coronavirus is to be handled as we manage all waste, following normal safety precautions and wearing personal protective equipment that all of our drivers and helpers have on daily. There will not be a change in your service, and we wish you well.
Please bag all of your waste materials and put the bags in your container. We request that you not bag your recyclables, as it creates issues for our recycling center sorting lines.
Please store all hazardous waste, including batteries, in a safe place in your home until there you feel safe going to the transfer station. It is very important that household hazardous waste NOT be disposed of as regular waste in your bin.
At this time, there are no anticipated service changes to your normal collection schedule. We will alert you via a phone call or message if there will be changes in the future.
