Really disappointed in this place. I took pains to make sure the clothes I donated were clean and neatly folded or hung on hangers. When I got there , I was instructed to dump it all into a large dumpster in a jumble. The dumpsters are a) hard for a short person to reach and b) very stiff and difficult to open and close. If you have nice clothes that will help someone get a job or just feel better about themselves this is not the place. No one even inspected the items to make sure they were wearable. I coulsld have dumped torn, filthy clothes in that bin and still claimed my tax deduction.

Talk about huge! This place is diffently worth a stop. Great deals for those who like to get thrifty ;)

Reminds me of things you would find in your grandmother’s house I found a vegetable chopper took to counter lady says rudely I can’t sell you that there’s no price on it , I said well how much does it cost , well you have to go in the back they will give you a price I go in back no one insight, I just left won’t go back there ever . I understand under staffed but she could of went in back or called who ever was the person who prices items instead of losing a sell & customer

I just walked into the Salvation Army In Schenectady was told rudely that they were closed. I looked at the doors as I was walking in to see if I could see hours and none were posted and then I went online and found that it said that they were open till 7 PM this evening. I attempted to email them and it was blocked. I get that Covid has things really strange right now but you could say it nicely You are closed. It might be helpful to post the hours on the door it’s only a piece of paper that could be replaced if it changes and just be courteous and professional to potential customers.

Yes
Yes, they take almost anything. Smaller donations (dishes, silverware, books, movies, etc) can be brought and dropped off in the back during business hours, but you may want to call ahead with larger donations, like couches and other furniture
You should call the salvation army store to ask that question. This is Google Maps. But my guess is no, they don't because as far as I know it's not legal to resell used mattresses. You know, diseases, bed bugs, lice, etc.
Usually they do. But keep in mind inventory comes in and goes out. They are usually kept up front along the windows.
Drop your Bagged donations out back of the store where you'll find donation bins.. Follow instructions printed on the bins..
Generally salvation army stores do not accept baby furniture due to safety reasons. If it's missing a peice or defective they dont want to be liable for a child getting hurt.
No air conditioner for sale in store right now
Yes you can
