My grandfathers house is near here so I have had the pleasure of visiting many times over the last half century. I moved away for a while and it was a pleasent surprise to see improvements and still see the diverse wildlife. I also enjoyed the lights and decorations thoughout the holiday. The park during the summer has activities for all ages and lifestyles.

We had an absolute blast. Water was shallow enough for the kids-it even had a makeshift border made of rock so the kids wouldn't get close to any deep water or the current. Loved it

Awesome park for all ages. Plenty of clean park benches and tables around. Well groomed and maintained walking trail along side the lake. Small fishing docks are well kept and in good order. The gazebo on the island is clan and well maintained. The play ground equipment is in good order. Be warned that there is plenty of duck and goose poo around the lakes grassy areas and trail.

Yes, they have random grills placed throughout the park and a few pavilions that have grills in them.

No swimming just boating, paddle boating or canoeing. Pretty good size lake.
You can catch and release. However if you can manage to catch a keeper, keep it. My family and I have caught, cleaned, and cooked fish from the lake and the spillway many times. There are grills and tables throughout the park.
I know they do paddleboats out there but I'm not 100% sure they do kayaks
