My experience was excellent. The staff in the Women's Breast Center were wonderful. The 3 ladies who took me through the contrast enhanced mammography and ultrasound were incredibly kind, professional and caring. They listened to my chattering very patiently. That's my go to when I'm nervous. They explained everything they did. They were a really fantastic team. I can't say enough about them and the whole experience. Thank you Blake HCA. You put a wonderful group of people together to help women through an uncomfortable and stressful situation.

I was very well taken care of. The staff was very professional and courteous in the Emergency Treatment Area. The floor I was taken to was clean and comfortable. The Nurses and other staff were great. They took excellent care of me while I was there. They were all very pleasant to me. I was checked on often. They treated me like they cared.

The staff was very good; however, the process was as detailed for an outpatient EKG as it would have been for an inpatient arrival having major surgery. I am finding that despite doing my information ahead of time I still have to do more when I get there. This has been the case elsewhere too. It defeats the purpose of advanced technology.

I have been a patient at the Blake Medical Center Hand Clinic since October of 2021. I have seen my surgeon ONCE since surgery. Post surgical visits with the mid-levels have been less than productive. I feel like my issues of ongoing discomfort and lack of mobility improvement have been brushed off as "it's just how this type of injury is" and I just have to deal with it. Their attitude seems to be all radial head fractures are the same and there is no reason to address a patient's issues as anything special that might need a deeper look. It is like being in an assembly line. The clinic is noisy and the staff can be heard clearly complaining about other staff, staffing issues, schedules, you name it. As a retired RN and former clinic administrator, I am sympathetic to what the medical profession has had to endure the last two years but there is no excuse for the loud complaining of staff being overheard by patients as they sit in a room in discomfort and stress. I never tolerated this type of behavior in my clinics. However, my experience with the therapy staff has been outstanding. I couldn't ask for a more caring, professional, and empathetic staff. They get 5 stars. My experience in the hand clinic has been unpleasant and I do not recommend them.

Yes Horrible nursing staff
They have open visiting hours. Some units, such as critical care areas, may request limited visitation during certain time periods.
I had surgery there on 5/28/2022 and I have a follow up appointment. I have nothing but great things to say about the care I am receiving there. The nurses there went out of their way to make sure I was well taken care of.
Susan,I would call Blake medical center ,but I doubt that they are behind these calls.i get 5-6 calls about my car warranty expiring ,can't seem to stop them.
You contact either someone in Admitting or the Business Office.
Emergent surgeries only. Scheduled surgeries are Mon-Fri.
Tom: smarten up. Call or go on line. Don’t depend on strangers for important information.
There's a Days Inn and a Best Western close by! I've heard good things about the Best Western.
If you're still on the floor, call a crane. You fell, watch where you're going.
Not for public. For staff.
You have to call ahead to see what kind of visitations that they're allowing.
Yes.
They have a cardiac pain treatment group, and a spine pain center. There is a good group called Sarasota Pain Relief Center you might want to try.
And
Yes.
I believe so. I would go to Manatee Memorial before i ever went to Blake again anyway. There is a department at Manatee Memorial that helps if you can provide documentation that you need help and what for. I think they call it financial aid dept. Its to the right when you go in the main entrance and like 3 doors down on the left. Make sure you enter where the gift shop is. I was almost dead at Blake and all they worried about was my deductible. They came to my room for it. I didn't even owe one so they had to refund it. My doctor told me not to go to Blake ever again
I doubt it. Try Manatee Memorial
Ive never heard of it so you might be better off to go to Manatee Memorial. I was half dead at Blake and all They were worried about was a copay i didn't owe them. I'll never go back. If you don't like manatee memorial, go to Sarasota Memorial. Hope that helps you. I wouldn't take my cat to Blake
I believe policy is they cant tell you that someone is there but they can take your number down and give it to the patient to call you back if they are there. Not too sure otherwise, other than going up and asking for their room number
As of Wednesday, Sept 13th, 2017. The Blake Burn Center office & outpaiceint sides were powered.
