I have been going there since 2005 while in the Army. Good, friendly people. Awesome car remote starters and audio equipment. Thanks Shannon and Milo

This is my 2nd vehicle getting done here for auto start with no problem. The auto start I had going on my truck didn’t have the turbo timer option and they helped out giving me a different brain that cost more at the same price as the base one. Really appreciate that they were able to squeeze me in last minute. Overall great customer service and very knowledgeable crew.

If i’m being straight honest , i would have to give them two stars . i came in for an auto start, they couldn’t install it due to my car being a unicorn. but when they called me about them not being able to install it , i asked if they can do tints and led’s instead and they got it done right away. When i picked up my car at night , i noticed a two big bubbles on drivers door . i would have to admit that they did a better job than the other company that did my last tints . but then the next morning , i noticed a big crack on one of my door panels and when i called them they said that it was already cracked but they are pretty much new because i had to order new ones due to the other company breaking them when getting my last tints done. and then he told me a different story saying that when the guy took them off it just fell apart . They said they’ll reimburse me for my door panels but to be honest i wouldn’t trust them installing the new door panels so i said screw it and i’ll do it myself .

Unfortunately, I have to give a 1 star rating for our tinting experience. We don't live in Anchorage and therefore had to line up a tinting appointment with when we would be in town. We made the appointment about a month in advance. On the day of the appointment, we received a call while we were on the way over to drop the vehicle off, informing us that the staff member that does the tinting was sick and we would have to reschedule. We only had one more day left in Anchorage, so we agreed to re-book for the following morning. The following morning, we dropped the vehicle off. The vehicle had been booked for a full tint (7 windows). Unbeknownst to us, a very light grade tint had already been applied by a previous owner of the vehicle to two of the rear doors (we had assumed it was factory tint). Our instructions were to remove ALL the tint and apply brand new tint to all the windows. This was not done, and only new tint was applied to the tint-less windows. We weren’t informed of this and didn’t know until we picked up the vehicle at the end of the day - Fine, that’s not what we wanted done, but we can live with that. We were told to not roll the windows down for 3 days so the tint had time to fully dry. We drove home. The windows were not rolled down for 7 days. The car was not washed. We went to wash it finally and noticed a number of issues. On the driver's window, there's 2 fairly large bubbles that keep reappearing (you can try and "squeegee" them down, that's what you see in the pic, but they just reappear after a few hours). On the passenger side window, there's a large crease in the corner that is raised up quite a bit that you can easily feel with your fingers. And when you roll the window down or up, you can hear a “paper flapping / crinkling” sound. Obviously we’re not very happy with the tint job. We tried contacting Safe & Sound again, but it’s been a week and we haven’t heard back. Somehow I don’t think we will…. We have a suspicion that the job was rushed - one could presume there was a back-log of tint jobs from the day the employee was sick, and we had to “cram” our vehicle in the next day because were leaving town to head back home. We also have to assume that’s why they didn’t remove all the tint and do all 7 windows, there just wasn’t time. Because of this, maybe the job was rushed and the result is, well, have a look at the pictures. The windows are still tinted, and the staff we dealt with in-person were all friendly enough, but being ignored when issues are brought up is really unacceptable, especially considering it’s not that simple for us to “just take the vehicle back”. Quite honestly, given the lack of response when we did try and reach out with concerns, we’re not sure we would want to take the vehicle back there anyways......

Questions & Answers

MY autostart works but my heater won't turn on until the key is in the ignition and its in the "on" position. Whats wrong?

Without knowing the year, make and model this cannot be addressed. Contact safe and sound if they installed the autostart and they will explain the system. You could also contact the dealership and search the internet if not involving safe and sound.

Can a person bring in a system to be installed? Instead of buying the components there?

I believe so. I did several years ago. They wouldn't do it in the winter because of the auto starts. Pretty sure I had mine done in March for my Birthday. Give them a shout in March I'm sure they'll take care of you. Hope this helps.

Hi left a message on recorder. My remote unlocks doors but doesn't start engine. What did I do wrong

I am not able to help with that... I suggest you go to them or any to have your remote start diagnosed. .. whoever does it might charge you a fee unless you let them fix it... you can always check for help videos on the web also
