They do good things for people but sometimes people were greedy( staff and residents). Some residents didn't care anything about anyone but themselves and wouldn't obey rules about drugs and alcohol not being allowed

If I could give zero stars I would. Ok first off this place is a absolute JOKE! $125 to live in a TENT and $225 to live in a cabin smaller then a studio? 2 days to look for employment and 3 days “volunteering” Yeah good job with that one! Girls get in trouble for hanging out on the guys side and vice versa. They’re all ADULTS! Come on! 🙄 Only 2 meals a day that’s if you sign up before a certain time. 3 “mandatory” classes a week. Curfew by 10? Again. ADULTS! I’m glad they’re getting shut down. God don’t like ugly and that’s exactly what this place is.

As much as I would love to give A Helping Rock 5 stars, I just can not do so at this time. This place has potential if the right people are running it. Everyone is a hypocrite and gets caught in lies yet try to justify the situation. What everyone really wants to know is all the fundraisers and money raised that was to do a fence, repair kitchen etc where did that money go? Why are funds that is to help the homeless here being sent to the D.R. to assist the nursing home? It’s easier to be truthful and tell everyone the honest truth verses sugar coating and telling them what they want to hear. When using a success story call everyone in. You say you have 52 success stories yet you use one person to talk on your behalf. Is it because money for the shelter you took to help them start their painting business? To pay for their permits? To pay for their license? You didn’t help anyone else. We all want to hear the truth, so please enlighten us. Thank you

I will always be grateful for helping rock. They helped my fiance Greg and I when we were homeless due to unfortunate circumstances. They gave us shelter, food and clothes. But most of all they got us back on track. They are good godly people and i will always be grateful. God bless Helping Rock.
