The best steaks we have ever had! Outstanding mashed potatoes with truffles! Delicious vegetables, excellent wine list and Desserts were delicious!

The history of this place is an obvious draw, and the food doesn't disappoint. We had ribeyes with the sides and salad it comes with, and they were delicious. What did disappoint was the staff. We made a reservation, got seated, and were ignored for over ten minutes. When we asked for service we were told the entire restaurant had one waiter. A girl who was not a waitress was pressed into service to keep up, and she did a great job helping us. However someone in the kitchen literally forgot to make our order and we waited almost an hour for our food. This place is super cool and would have been a perfect place to enjoy a fine dinner if they had their staffing issues worked out.

We were recommended we make reservations, and had a table awaiting us when we arrived. We did not look over the menu before hand and found there was only steak and shrimp as options, that were priced higher than we are used too. We were not in the mood for either steak or shrimp. So, we ordered a ceaser salad. It had chopped lettuce, croutons and parmasan cheese already tossed in an okay tasting ceaser dressing sauce. Also ordered their cheesy potato soup, which had decent sized chunks of potatoes and great flavor. Would recommend the soup. We opted out of trying any alcoholic drinks from their extensive menu and chose the French Press Coffee. Was told a coffee company in Cheyenne Wyoming makes the beans especially for this establishment. The taste was good but didn't seem to have much caffeine. A good amount for 2. The history in the bar and details were interesting and it is worth the visit.

Such amazing food, the salad was one of the best I have eaten and the potato soup was to die for! Cute little town and although it's not 'cheap' considering you get sides, sour or salad (very generous helping) and your steak or shrimp it is very good value for menu. We didn't have desert but they all looked amazing we were just to full!!

There is a fabulous shrimp dinner on the menu. The soup and salads are also phenomenal!
We were there several weeks ago and everything was very clean and sanitized.
Prices like you'd expect from a quality steakhouse, but quality exceeds what you'd expect from a quality steakhouse.
Honestly, no where in the hartville Guernsey area do you actually need reservations. Sometimes you gotta have a little patience, but very rarely is that ever tested. Good food, good service, can be a little pricey but for the memories made worth every dollar and thensome.
Yes, they are allowed in the restaurant provided they do not interfere with the enjoyable dining experience of other guests.
