We rented an RV and stayed a few nights with our littles. Great hikes and a playground the kids really enjoyed. This is our 3rd trip to Mueller. Beautiful views and things to do.

A beautiful and quiet park. The perfect place to camp and play. My favorite park on the Eastern slopes of Colorado. It's tucked away in the forest and just a short drive from Woodland Park. It's quiet except for the wildlife and breeze whistling through the trees. There's a lot of great hiking paths. Not only are some of the trails horse friendly, but there's a stable and overnight lodging for horses and their riders. Further down the way are cabins and campsites for everyone else. With so many trails winding through the forest, there's a lot to see and explore.

This is the best campground Ive ever had so far. The campsite is clean and well-maintained. And since we only camp using a tent, showering is not a problem. They have coin automated shower and coin changer, all you have to bring is cash, your own soap and shampoo of course :) We will absolutely come back here and camp for more than 1 day.

Well maintained campsites. Multiple trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. Beautiful Fall foliage scenery, very picturesque. Allows pets only at campsites,, not able to take on trails. For payong RV and campers there is a dump site within the park as well. I would most definitely recommend this State Park to family and friends.

Would it be likely that animals would wonder near the site? Like a deer or bear? Or do they just stay away

We had a secluded campsite on one of the back loops. We saw lots of birds, squirrels, chipmunks and several deer, but no bears, which was ok with us 😉 Do be careful with your food and follow the advice of the park. Have fun!

Is there a dog park within the campground?

You guys crack me up! All I asked if there was a dog park and I get pelted with they can't be on trails they have to be on leashes blah blah blah. Of course I understand I am a good dog owner. I had one question and most of you didn't answer it but went off on the trail thing or the poop thing. Don't assume everybody is a bad pet owner. Yep there are few that screwed up for all of us. I appreciate the input but next time maybe just respond to the question. The trail, poop problem and Leash issue has been well addressed in previous questions.
