Jouflas is a nice campground in Rabbit Valley. It seems to fill up quickly for the weekends. Get there before noon on Fridays if you want to find a spot.

Rabbit Valley has very specific camp areas now. Stayed a couple nights and only saw 2 other groups camping at this place. We began by filling a huge trash bag with trash from a previous group of campers (seriously people, don't leave your trash!) The sites are made for tent camping but depending on the time of year/number of others camping you can take up a couple sites with a camper instead. Several trails nearby for hiking/motor sports. Trails, parking areas, and restrooms are all well kept and clearly marked. Not recommended for small cars/low clearance vehicles.

It's a free campground belonging to BML, very easy to access, just 1 mile off highway. No shade in daytime so be prepared. It's a good stop to discover either Utah or Colorado.

We LOVED how we were alone, there were others but far away. Can kind of hear freeway but not too bad. If you hate the wind and sun dont go ha. We have our own toilet so that was helpful. We will be going back! It was hot during the day but the sun falls behind the hills and its beautiful!

No high clearance needed. Just take it slow.
