Camp At the Woods (Open Year Around)

I want to start off by saying Ray and Melissa were great! We were there for 2 months May-July. When we first got there we had an issue and had to move the motorhome a couple times, but Ray was great about the situation, even though I was a hangry mess by the time we arrived. Ray was very responsive to any little issue we had. Ray and the other guys work very hard to keep the place up! It does get rowdy on the weekends during the summer! I'm an introvert so I didn't participate too much, but they do put on events and the place has a very friendly atmosphere if you are a social person. There are some very nice people there that I enjoyed talking to. Our dogs loved walking around, and playing in the river. We live near St. Louis, MO, so it was nice to get out of the city life for a minute, walk the dogs in the mornings and be peaceful. You can hear the river and all the animals. See the turkeys and deer. Thanks Ray!

Ray was extremely helpful with all processes of my stay, from setting up, to any of my needs while I was there and all the way up until I left.. The place is beautiful.. Lots to see it's close enough to things to do to keep you occupied. I was here through the winter months which can be challenging and I have no complaints. Great place to stay!

Great place open year around. I work over the road as a turnaround hand and in the winter it can be hard to find open campgrounds. This place is open year around, power, water, and I believe sewer but I'm not sure cuz I didn't need it. Owner is very friendly and he's very pro contractor and doesn't jack up his rates if he knows your a contractor. Not much to be displeased with, little pricey, but being that there's no open campgrounds within a hour, and the quality of the service, it's not a huge deal, the man's gotta make a living. The entrance could use some hole filling, but beyond that, it's realy a great place to stay. Bathhouse is open year around and he realy goes above and beyond to make sure your taken care of.

Owner Ray was incredibly accommodating for us. Passing through on a larger trip, arriving late due to weather, Ray was cheerful and fun. We did not get to stay long enough to enjoy the amenities, but it was beautiful and quiet. Nice shower house, full hookups, pool looks beautiful!
