This place was an absolute blast with our kids. We had 5 kids ages 3-9 and there was something for all of them. For the water slides you need to be 48” tall which was a disappointment to my 6 year old. The indoor pool was colder than the outside for sure, but the kids didn’t care. We went 4th of July weekend and it was packed (understandably so) but we never really waited for the water slides. If you wanted to just hang out in the pool you definitely couldn’t space out very well. They have a lot of lifeguards (no labor shortage here) and have safety breaks. The lifeguards did a wonderful job of enforcing rules reasonably but also letting people have fun. Swim up bar drinks were strong and reasonably priced, and themed for the resort feel (daiquiris, pina colada etc) There also was pizza you could order from the poolside as well. Signs say that you can’t bring in your own beverages but we found that rule to not be enforced. Towels were in short supply on the racks but you can ask for them at the wristband counter when signing your waiver. We would definitely recommend improving the waiver/wristband process because the lines got crazy.

Don't feel comfortable leaving a review about the water park because it's only open on the weekends right now but our cottage is fantastic if anyone needs a getaway contact Brady Groeneweg on Facebook and tell him The Grumpy Critic sent you 5 stars for the cottage not the water park yet more to come

Winter time / offseason review: The water park itself isn’t bad. It’s probably one of the only things to do with kids during the winter time in Okoboji. My kids (ages 11 and below) had a great time and lasted maybe 2-3 hours before they lost interest. The water slides and other play areas were a lot of fun. The place was extremely crowded. If you’re looking to come out for the offseason weekend hours, be prepared for long lines for entry. We got there at exactly 4pm and waited almost an hour to get in. Couple of recommendations for the park: 1. Make the daily requirement for the waiver to be a yearly requirement. If unable to do so, legally, then allow folks to complete the waiver online before arriving. That would GREATLY reduce your line to get in 2. It could be nearly impossible to get an inter-tube for slides at times. Recommend having “slide tubes” and “lazy river tubes” so folks don’t just hang onto them when they transition from slides to lazy river.

Great place for all ages. We spent a few hours there & could have stayed longer. Toddler, 1st grader & 18 year olds all found lots to do. The littles like the play structures & slides & the bigger kids/ adults liked the big water slides, lazy river & bball hoops. Several treat & food options were available. The outdoor Waterpark was closed & it was the main reason we booked here. The indoor Waterpark was a little dirty with some dirt accumulated in corners, several bugs floating in the water. The restrooms needed to be cleaned. We were there the 1st week of June, in the morning so not end of day or anything.

It hasn't been in the past.
Yes you can purchase day passes. You don't have to be staying there. Call ahead though! They have been closed without notice a lot already this season.
A day pass for $15 or if you're staying at hotel $6. ( Two free admissions per room booked )
Is the indoor waterpark and hot tub even open now during the inside remodeling?
