Food was great, but it was outweighed by the terrible service. We waited an hour for our food, and we only ordered 3 entrees. While we were waiting for the food I noticed how dirty the drink glasses were, and the bathroom was disgusting. One of us ordered mac and cheese, just to find out it was Kraft Mac and cheese and they charged us a lot for something that probably costed 50 cents to make. Not coming back anytime soon

I had a really great time at the Rusty Nail. I stopped in on my way home after a long day out and about, hoping to have a quiet drink. I got exactly what I wished for. They had a great selection of local brews, and the bartender was able to recommend a fantastic microbrew for me, which I really enjoyed. They also mix a fantastic lemon-drop martini, although the promised sugared rim was lacking. Maybe next time!

Luke made the Very Best Old fashion (Classic cocktail) I've had in 30 years. Great job Luke. The smothered fries were super delicious as well. I will be looking forward to visiting Gain soon!

I've heard this place has been rated the best burgers in Minnesota. I may have to disagree with that, there are thousands of burgers places. The burger is good, ok-really good, but there's an item on the menu that's awesome. In the appetizer section, they have "sunnies". It's actually a nice meal. You get 4-5 fillets of nice sized sunfish and a choice of fires of fresh cut chips. I've had them 3 times so far, and each time the breading was a bit different. The first time they were coated with a light breading. Panko, maybe? And fried to perfection. The other two time it seemed like it was a bit thicker beer batter. I prefer the lighter coating, but both are excellent. The onion rings make a great choice, also. The atmosphere is small town bar/pub, and the walls and ceilings are covered with cool memorabilia. A very nice choice of craft beer is available and the tap holder is pretty cool.
