Just completed our single family modular home with US Modular. From our first meeting through handing over the keys Bill answered all of our questions, kept us informed of progress, helped us make decisions and really made us feel great about our decision to go modular. We saved a lot versus building a traditional home and got exactly what we wanted down to the fixtures and finishing touches. They take a check from you as a site and cost analysis 'up front' based on conservative estimates discussed over the phone but then it will come in too high in price and then they try to have you be 'realistic' and come down in price and scope and try to make you feel like you were the one that was not realistic from the beginning. Never give money up front; modular are fairly standard. Also, find a bank to be the escrow and release your funds directly to the contractor as certain 'building completions' are done. Don't be duped like we were. We went into the site plan under the pretense the project should be about $300K and it came in closer to $600K. Also, salesman will probably mention SEVERAL times that he is a Christian and all the good deeds he does. Hope it works out better for others. Good luck.
