The golf part is abandon and close. It's all dried up and its a very hazardous place. A spark of any fire will ignite the whole area. Taxpayer's, homeowners will most definitely lose all of there homes & belongings. You have coyotes roaming around the area, hungry, looking for prey. As far as the clubhouse, well; it's open for rental, that's all. It's old & ready for demolition. Some developers or investors need to purchase that area and redevelop it with homes or Townhouses. The township of Calimesa, Ca., should consider that venue. I wonder what the do when they have all those council meetings. Do they ever consider what a tremendous danger they hold on the taxpayers of that township if a fire or some other danger was to happen. Maybe, they don't care, since its not coming out of there Financial pockets. Whow! There should be an uproar from the public, citizens of that communities. Oh well!...

The breakfast is excellent. Lunch sandwiches are really good. The prices are the best around for the quality and quantity of food you get. You will not go away unhappy. Update: they are now permanently closed. So sad.

No, it is not. The Calimesa Country Club closed the Back Nine in the Fall of 2017 and shut down all golfing operations at the end of the year. In a series of public meetings, management stated that the course had never made money, in over two decades of operation, and that continuing to run it was unsustainable. Some limited dining and catering functions would continue but for an unknown period. Plans for future use of the property have not been announced but ideas floated by management include a nature sanctuary, a retirement community, and a mobile home park.
Course is closed
The Country Club, owned by members of the Braswell Family, was placed in the hands of a developer for a time, but any plans for major changes were abandoned. At the present time (Summer 2019), the course is not being watered and only the facilities (pro shop, kitchen, dining hall) are being used. Those facilities have been refurbished and the complex is being promoted as a destination for civic and cultural events, including weddings.
