I was assigned judge pro temp Miguel Montes (attorney)for Small Claims 8/2/21 to hear my case. He did a stellar job with the proceedings and was knowledgeable with car injury claims. I was being served with a frivolous 10k lawsuit along with 2k medical bills. Pro temp judge Montes threw the case after listening to both sides (uninsured motorist). The entrance security and court assistants C Lee/ C Clawson were very professional . I represented myself but I would recommend you come with an attorney if warranted. There's paid parking a block away under $10. I don't recommend court telephone services they suck. I received the copies of the court ruling through USPS three days after the proceedings.

how could we schedule an appt when absolutely no one answers the phone? I called all day yesterday, waiting 10 minutes, 20 minutes- was disconnected multiple times, and still was unable to reach anyone to assist me? Who hires these incompetent people to run a dept in a courthouse? the lack of customer service and support is baffling.

It astounds me that people are so opposed to doing anything but the absolute bare minimum. I called in today asking about a specific legal form and was told that I cannot be helped and that I would have to navigate the website myself. When I asked why the woman on the phone could not help guide me she said, "What do you mean why can't I help you?! I have other calls to answer!" This was around 1:12 pm today. I can only hope this individual eventually gets reassigned to a position where she will be hidden from the general public.

I don’t know but I agree and have to say that some of the small claims clerks are harder to deal with then the party I am trying to sue.

Since you haven't explained how exactly the employee is responding to your requests, I don't know what to tell you. I can say that in my experience, the harder it is to terminate their employment, the worse the service can be, especially if they are in a union. Back in the day, unions were instrumental in protecting employees from unfair employers, now they are used to keep employees that are rude, abusive, and lazy, from being fired. Customer service as a whole, has diminished and is practically non-existent in some businesses.

Usually on your court papers there is a number, and in most cases a website, you can use to request a change in your court date. Although in some cases you might have to show up to the courthouse and tell the clerk you want your court date changed.

That's a great question, depends where you park. Bring a $20 to be safe and you'll be able to find parking.
Well, theres street parking, there's a lot across the way and another across the other street. Just drive around and you'll find parking.
