Love the updated check-in and check-out system, they're very quick and easy to use. The children's section has some great toys for kids to play with.

Nice place. Good design, a large selection of books. The only thing I didn't like was that there were few places where you could sit down and read. You can also take English language courses there. I really like libraries. It's always quiet here. I love this atmosphere. You can come with children, because there is a lot of interesting things here for them too.

Wonderful library! This is a very new and well equipped library. The building is beautiful and they have an awesome children section where they do several events a week. They have a discovery area and a homework room. The adults section has a good variety and volume of titles and it's very relaxing too. Across the street they have a beautiful and also new park.

Modern design meets creative at this library. There's a floor for Children, for Teens, for adults. There is a café that's part of the building and plenty of space to do your assignments. I loved it. Fancy bathroom as well, 👍

The downtown location at 888 C Street celebrated its opening to the public on September 14, 2019, at C and Mission. It is open 11 to 8 on Mon through Wed and 10 to 5 on Thurs through Sat, just like the Weekes Branch, which still faithfully serves South Hayward. The beautiful 3-story new library downtown is adjacent to the City Hall parking garage that can be entered from Watkins or Mission between B and C. On Saturdays, the Farmers Market on Watkins means that entrance is not available. Unforeseen construction delays meant that it wasn't able to be actually opened on Oct. 27, 2018, and that day just offered tours of the first floor, a preview. See our website please. It's open from 11am to 5pm every Saturday.
I believe Hippie's Brew is the cafe that will be in there. Not sure if it will be there same day as library opening but it will be there eventually
Yes there are rooms like this. I don't know if they are open due covid
Yes. And copies are free. I'm not sure of the upper limit. If you want to print from a computer, it's 10 copies for free then a few cents per page after that.
Only service dogs!
Same hours as Weekes Branch in S Hayward. Mon thru wed 11 to 8 and thurs thru Sat 10 to 5.
The library provides patrons with a number of tax forms but they do not do any tax preparation. I would check the IRS website for information on resources for low income folks.
I'm part of the crew doing all finishing touches and it's probably gonna b open by the end of the month. It looks great
No but we provide materials for ASL and LINK+ gives access to 40 or 50 libraries all around California.
It will be open to the public in about two weeks. That is the latest word. All past due fees are waived until then. Lots.of.moving parts still being installed and signed off on. It will be worth the wait.
Great question. I believe our Link+ system includes 40 or 50 libraries but not the State Library. Confirm with HPL by calling.
Right next to it, and its amazing from the inside, my coworkers and I did all the woodwork, well still working on it
Yes you can return to weeks library also
