Not sure when it happened but urgent care has gotten just as bad as the emergency room when it comes to wait times. Last year in Aug I was experiencing a miscarriage and it took the emergency room 6 hours to see me. Today I went to urgent care with my son who has a 103.06 temperature and was told to come back at 4:30pm (2 hours later) to be able to go to the after hours pediatrics. What is the difference of waiting at for an urgent care Dr or being told to come back! Finally at 5 I left with my son to try and manage things at home because nobody at the facility cared to see him. But they were happy to call to security on a mama bear who was trying to get the best care for her son who is also pregnant and hormonal.

Kaiser Permanente as an institution does not care about you. Individual employees are hardworking and generous, for the most part, but the institution itself is profit based, and it does not care about your well-being. In my many experiences over the past four years, profits are clearly placed above the needs of the patient. I can provide multiple examples for anyone who is interested. This review will not change anything. If you have any option for alternative insurance, I urge you to go that route. Kaiser will belittle you for common requests. You will need to fight constantly for services that you are paying for and entitled to. Their system is setup to stonewall you, and their call center staff are extremely well trained in wasting your time, their goal is to make you want to give up. I write this from my sense of humanity, as a warning for anyone considering coming here, and who have an alternative choice. I cannot stress this enough, if you need help, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE.

I had my C-section at KP Riverside and was an amazing experience, they took care of me very well and explained me everything! In my personal case, nobody could stay at night with me because I donβt have any family here and my husband must be at home with our other kid, so doctors and specially nurses was incredibly kind with me and help me 24/7 to handle my pain and my baby. Iβm so thankful to had the opportunity to being there and also they give me a lot of things: like a Velcro girdle, formula and nipple shells to support my breastfeeding, diaper bag, blanket and a lot of things. We felt so welcome there and I really appreciate there patience with my baby and me. God bless u all ππ».

So I have a bad sinus infection. Tested negative earlier in the week for covid. Tried calling several days for an appointment and could not get one. Not even via phone. So I came to urgent care to find the place packed with people. While checking in there was a Dr near the service desk. He overheard my story. Right there sent a prescription to the pharmacy which is also here. Wow! Yet again KP delivers even when stretched to the limit.

They stopped doing that years and years and years ago. It's easier and more efficient for them to have you leave a message or send an email to your doctor. They have a nurse check your message and prioritize it. That way if the nurse can ask your question for the doctor you get helped faster. If you must make an appointment to get your problems addressed the nurse can let you know rather than having to wait for an answer.
Basement lab @ La Sierra is open 7:30am to 11pm Everyday (but maybe not on holidays)
My experience was positive. Staff were professional and kind.

They do not have mental health services at the Riverside Medical Center. Behavioral health is available by appointment at the Canyon Crest and Corona offices.
They are open until 10pm
KP Riverside doesn't have a lab at the park building anymore. They open at 7:30am I believe in building #1 basement 7 days a week.
7:30am
You will need an appointment with your doctor to do that.
730am until door is closed at 930pm. Located in hospital basement. Enter thru building one and take elevator down, and follow the signs.

Kaiser has tests available for members and they take about 2 days to get results.
1st floor of Medical Office Building (MOB) 1
You don't need an appointment for the drive in, you can log in to your kp.org profile and do the online assessment, and request a COVID test. You do need to have an order for a test placed in order to get tested. Results take 24-48 hours.
I'm not sure if it's for every department, but for ICU it's from 8-9 with a shift change at 7-8 to which you are to step out for, with 1 person per visit at a time.
Yes they do drive thru testing 8-4 and you do need an appointment. Go thru urgent care.
They have a 24 hour pharmacy located on campus next to medical office building #1
Kaiser accepts Medi-cal but you do have to signup for Kaiser membership. Not all Kaisers accept Medi-cal though and can be different from county to county. Check with your local Kaiser for qualifications.

You can always ask to see a different doctor. Let the new doctor know how you feel and that you want an MRI and that PT is not helping. Or you can call member services. Usually they'll order an MRI if you need surgery. Hope you get help and feel better.
Go to urgent care.
Yes, three. One in building 3, one in the basement of building 1 and one on the 4th floor of building 2

Yes
Third floor!
Yes. But, i suggest to always use the 24 hr pharmacy in the hospital. You can check in your Rx, leave and come back later. If youre in a hurry during weekdays go to the 4th floor and use the pharmacy in the park sierra building because there's rarely ever a line and you are in/out in a heartbeat. Pun intended.
No. I think they're open 8:30 to 5pm
Bldg 1 is in the one with the hospital -- North of but attached to bldg 2. Bldg 3 is west of 1 & 2
They have 3-4 labs. The hospital's lab is in the basement. The other labs are also in the Kaiser campus but inside the other medical buildings.
Probably, but it would be helpful if you'd stated the time you were asking about. I'm thinking they open at 7 am til
830 am to 5 pm
Yes
If needed, visiting hours may be anytime under certain conditions. Here's information from the website: "HOSPITAL VISITATION POLICY The visiting hours will normally be from 11am to 8pm. After 8pm all visitors must check in with security and obtain a pass. Patients will normally be allowed two (2) visitors at one time. Visitation by children under the age of 14 will require special permission and screening for communicable diseases. In specialty units visiting hours may differ. In the OR and Post Anesthesia Care Unit, visiting is not permitted. Exceptions to visiting policy will be individualized by the charge nurse, or the nurse assigned to the patient's care, based on the requirements of individual patients. Minor Visitors: Minors visiting in the units must be accompanied by a responsible adult. The primary responsibility for caring for minors rests with their parents"
The main hospital building. It's connected to building 1 on the left. (No not building 2) Where they take people in for emergency.
10 on up as long as they are not sick.
