This was an unexpectedly lovely stay. We checked in with a very polite front desk worker. We had a room on the first floor. I gave 4 stars due to no elevator for handicapped individuals. The first floor requires you to go down 3 or 4 stairs to access rooms. I feel that's worth mentioning to individuals unable to traverse any stairs at all. The room was very clean and comfy. Quiet other than road noise, which doesn't bother us. Would definitely return. Great value.

Positive: Not much Negative: The hotel is old and the bedding was fair.

Less than $85 a night after taxes, definitely the cheapest rate you will find in the Whitehall/Montague area. That being said, set your expectations accordingly. There was a group of 10-15 hanging out around two minivans drinking beer in the parking lot until almost 2 AM. Then there was a sedan that had 4 people in it with huge clouds of smoke billowing from the windows, and a backseat passenger kept opening up the door and holding a water bottle outside of the car and shaking it....kinda sketchy people. The hotel itself wasn't bad, though. Rooms are a little old, and could've been cleaned a little better, but the bed was soooo comfy, shower was hot and had great water pressure, and we stayed during the hottest night of the year so far, and the AC unit seemed older, but still put out ice cold air! If you can deal with the sketchy people that hang out here, this is honestly not a bad place.

Everything. This hotel was filthy, upon walking in to check out there was trash all over the premises, the front desk counter area was covered in this greasy film then we get into our room after the hotel keeper tried atleast 14 times to copy my I.D. with no luck so they said forget it. The room was terrible, filthy walls with unrepaired damage in spots, our "blanket" (if you can call it that because it was as thin as a sheet) and bed sheets had some sort of Cheesy like fresh spots on them (thank God we brought our own), the television remote did not work for the television. The bathroom had dead bugs and mold behind the toilet, the hallways had a horrible, freshly smoked cigarette stench (I'm a smoker so that's saying a lot). I have stayed at some "hole-in-the-wall" type places but this one absolutely took the and reminded me why I'll never spend less than $100 per night for a room, I expected way way more out of a Choice hotels facility.
