I understand that county workers are ungrateful and entitled but this agency doesn't even answer the phone or return calls at all. During Covid-19 I had to call the El Monte office and they actually helped me out. I am just glad that I don't have to deal with anyone now that I can do business on the website.

IHHS clearly does not want to speak to their clients or providers. NONE of the phone numbers they have will actually work or get answered. I truly would like to know what do the staff including "supervisors" do all day? Paychecks are automated and they don't EVER answer phone calls! So, if they don't help providers or clients, what, exactly do they get "paid" for?? Not often, I need to speak to them, but when I do, there is no way in hell to talk to a person. Example: I have an yearly appointment letter for a date I cannot keep, so I have been trying for two days to get a hold of worker, but no such luck. I have called supervisor and NOTHING! I have gone in person and their receptionist is NOT helpful at all. This is a government agency, but what is it they are hiding?? Must be something or they would communicate with the public as it is a PUBLIC HELP AGENCY!!!!!!! Awful, terrible, useless, no help, seriously, I think there is some kind of fraud being done here! Now I can't post unless I put a star?? WTH??? No star for this agency and btw, I will research this and get to the bottom of this. I DID NOT PUT THESE STARS ON HERE!!!! I ONLY PUT ONE AND IT CHANGED TO 2/12 Hmmm, what kind of fraud is this???

Well they most of the time lost my application there's little or no help when the consumer don't want to sign your time sheet, they don't want to pay for gas!! ohh!! but they like to send you to go shopping almost every day with out paying for your gas sometimes this senior treat like slave don't be fooled you deserve more!!!

You need to ask for another tax form from ihss office and summit that form again to make your changes!

A social worker with the hospital should be able to assist you.
I believe so..ihss has a worker come out to the home and evaluates client.ihss decides how many hours client qualifies for.
Call customer service and inquire or go to your local ihas office and speak to a flsa specialist or supervisor.
Well first thing you have to do is have the care provider your going to work for they have to apply and be accepted and then you have to go to an orientation and then they give you your finger printing packet and it cost 50 or 60 dollars to get done which you have to pay for and then when your background and finger printing comes back if you pass then you can start getting paid

The background check takes 2 weeks to come back and then if you dont call and get yourself linked to your client you wouldn't get your timesheets so be sure to call 2 weeks after you submitted your background check i just went thur this process
About $11.45 an hr.
