Good views of the Golden Gate Bridge. The parking lot for Battery East is more available for parking than the regular parking lot that all of the tourists end up at. However, there are also some people lurking around, looking in cars, and taking notes on who leaves, so don't leave anything valuable in your car! Otherwise, easy walk to the bridge and a lot less stress of everyone being in one location at once.

Love this place. Spring time is simply amazingly beautiful. Free parking if you get a spot. A must visit place with great trails.

If you want a great view of the Golden Gate Bridge, this is the place to come to for that. It’s a prime viewing area so it’s a busy place when people are trying to find a spot for sightseeing. Parking can be a challenge.

This area is fantastic to walk around and take in the sights. There is an excellent view of the city from the bridge, which is easily accessible from here, and there are a number of walking trails around the area to see the bay and enjoy the sea spray. Historical landmarks of old battery sites are also quite interesting to see along the way.
