This place saved my life. They never let up, always hustling to feed people under the toughest of circumstances. Like wearing masks outside on 100° days as they load food into trunks of people chilling in their cars with ac blasting.

I volunteer once per week. I retired and needed to stay busy but found it very rewarding. I never knew how badly people need this.

They are the kindest most awesome people. Bless them all. I love every person I have ever met at the church where they have the pantry. I don't go to church or practice any religion. But when me and my lady had no place to go we woyld hang out there and they have a garden and a cool big stone like an art piece and sometimes friends would meet us there and even when we were in front of the pasters office door charging my phone because it was the only outlet i could find he didnt ask us to leave and insisted we stay and stepped around us. Kindest people I have ever met. People of Los Angeles could learn a thing or two from them about treating others how you would like to be treated. When we had nothing they gave us kits with basic necessities and so much food we were trying to give it away. We told them we didnt have a fridge or a kitchen. But they said they had to give it away. I felt terrible throwing some away because we couldnt eat that much. We had been so hungry it was such a drastic change to feast like that. Doing gods work over there.

Today I came home with moldy tomatoes, yellow peppers, and honeydoo melon. All uneatable. One third of the produce were ultra sweet desserts. There were a few things worth keeping. 2% milk ok. Oat drink that they try to pass as milk, NOT okay. Eggplant, okay, but really who is going to cook that? Cherries and kale are fresh. The 2Bananas need to be eaten today .most people are nice enough, but the people who load the food into the trunk should NOT be giving out moldy old food. They load it individually so they know, and if they did that at a grocery store, they'd be fired.

Hi Steven, the Pantry is closed on all major holidays.
Alessandro, YES! The Pantry is always in need of clean, lightly used plastic bags. We'd love to have your donation of Target Bags! And thank you, for thinking of us!

An application is not required to obtain the food we distribute from the US Department of Agriculture. You are only required to sign an affidavit declaring that you live in the area and that your income is within the posted guidelines set by the government. However, we do ask that you volunteer information about you and your household that we use for developing other assistance programs, tracking changes in the population we serve, and assist in fundraising. In exchange for answering a few basic questions and verifying identity and residence, we also extend access to the resources we are able to provide through private donations and the Pantry's direct food purchases. (note that homeless clients are not required to provide ID or proof of residency to qualify for the government + extended food programs.)
Salads, canned foods, snacks, wipes, water, deli sandwiches, wraps. They are all really amazing. Thank God for them during this time. 🙏💖
No. There is an ID check in because they are regulated in some way I'm not to sure what for or how. As far as I know WH residency is not a prerequisite.
Check your computer's and your browser's privacy and security settings. I don't know where else to look.
Francisco, great question! I don't know what the answer is but I know they open at 9:30 in the morning and the website should have a question and answer section. I would call and ask over the phone. If you can't find their number then you could drive down and make a Goodwill gesture by asking there.
Years before, yes! Though recently not.
They will accept anything you donate, as long as it's unexpired.
Yes
Just come in during regular hours (10-3 Mon-Thu and 10-Noon on Friday) and let them know you are a new client. We would like you to bring copies of your IDs for yourself and anyone else in your household and also a piece of mail dated within 60 days (a bill works perfect). But if you are missing any of those items and are in need, come in anyway!
