Food was fresh and service was nice. Quaint little place with interesting street decor. I recognized the IKEA plate ware. Food: ordered Chicharron de pollo, plantains chips and dip, tamale with pork, fried fish and rice for the kid, and friend ordered shrimp. Everything was great; funny enough the kids meal was the best tasting thing! Fish was super good. I also really liked the black bean dip they had.

Friendly, Cozy comfortable indoor seatings with outdoor patio. We ordered up front and self serve for water. Reasonable price with big portions. Shrimp was perfectly cooked in coconut sauce . Pork steak, rice and beans were a little too salty for me . Desserts were on point!

Fantastic breakfast! Nice and quiet little place. Easy parking, easy ordering. Wonderful for a Saturday morning brunch. Definitely will be back for some of the sandwiches in the evening sometime.

Was in the neighborhood and dropped by. Fair prices for the amount of food and quality! The food is great and the “order yourself” at a counter set up is way more convenient than needing to deal with servers elsewhere.

Why are the cooks not wearing masks? I had dinner there last night (6/24/20) and noticed they had gloves on but no masks.

Jane, The guidelines we were given to reopen state that only employees who have close contact with the patrons are required to wear masks. Our employees are provided free masks and protective equipment, we require front of the house staff to wear them but the line cooks have chosen not to wear them because it makes it very hard for them to breathe. Essentially working a kitchen line with a mask on is the equivalent to working out with a mask on, and since state and city guidelines don't require them we gave that choice to our kitchen employees. We will always follow the guidance of our health officials, as compliance is not optional for our business. Thank you for bringing this up and I hope this answers your question. Frank M

Yes they are. The food there is fantastic. We've done take out from Guavas 5 or 6 times, always excellent.
