One of the nicest and most unique parks in San Francisco. There are plenty of spots to sit, there's a grassy area if you'd like to have a picnic, and there are porta-potties if you need to use one. There are great views of the bay and a platform so you can see everything. Also, the area is very clean and you could probably swim in the cove if you wanted. Not only is it a park, but also a historical site. There are many signs with information about people building ships and some remnants of the equipment. Overall, I highly recommend this park. You could easily spend a whole afternoon here.

Great morning workout, come early to beat the sun and crowd.. Some stairs are steep, so watch your step as there are no railings. I recommend just going up the stairs and taking the trail down, I think it's safer, best that way.. you will def have a good workout after 2 round trips.

My father worked at these shipyards so the historic element is special to me. It's a fine example of revitalizing a public resource to reflect the times of the neighborhood. Little beach for kids - yes, in the bay water - and to launch a small boat like a kayak. Picnic table all occupied. Dogs running in their grass area. Love to see the tides here too. Look for crabs at low tide. Something for everyone. Go check it out for yourself.

Beautiful park, a lot of families around and beautiful view of the Bay. Kids loved the cranes and ship-building structures.

Hey, to my knowledge, there is no official parking for Crane Park. However, I have seen on multiple occasions people parking right next to the big Crane for loading and unloading of equipment.

Nope. First come, first serve seems to be the unwritten rule.
