Looks like they did all that work for a pool and a basketball court. Whatever happened to activities and programs for the kids. Ballet, Carams, Dance classes, just games, summer camps ??? Kids Need Programs not basketball courts.

This facility on Obama Ave. is pretty shabby looking at present (early January 2022) as construction of new indoor aquatics, etc is getting close to completion. I am employed by a contractor involved with the project and so my purpose there was work related. It may well deserve a higher or lower rating by people who actually get to use, possibly enjoy the amenities.

Came here for flag football game. Artificial turf. Plenty of seating and field is nice! Main entrance from park to the field blocked (under construction) had to drive into Expo Bl. On first turn off LaBrea.

It's a public park
Yes, I think the classes are free :)
Yes. Varieties of sports available.
You probably should check with the Parks & Recreation Dept.to see if this allowed. I'm sure some type of permit or permission is needed.
The park is a trip, the way they do things there you better off going to a park that allow people to play basketball in the gym and if you plan on using the track it's best you go as early as possible they will close that track down and the cold part about it, it's always a woman who wants to direct traffic she will come on the track and tell people to get off the track however I been going to that park since the 1960's but through time new people come along and mess up a good thing you can still go, but don't look forward to playing basketball in the gym
Only have tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball fields, soccer fields, football field w/ a track, and a skatepark
I have been waiting patiently for the reopening of this facility (specifically the pool & gym). It was supposed to be completed long ago (2020). I get it about covid delay, but it doesn't seem like this project will be done until 2022. What is going on? What the slow dragging? COVID hasn't any of the construction elsewhere in the city to this extent. Why can't anyone in authority inform the public about when the project will be done?
I think so
I believe so with the leash rule in place
I don't know that answer.
Courts a crummy, but it's ok if you aren't serious. Crowded on the weekends
