Skiing here was a great experience but the service is horrible. Chairlift operators(except Debbie) and restaurant staff were so rude. I would pack a lunch to avoid interactions with them next time. The terrain is amazing, the blue/back runs were challenging and linked up to so many other runs. You can ski from the summit to the car in about a half an hour. Parking is free if you park near the condos and you can ski to the lift from your car. Use the Home run/away run to the lot. We had a wax service because the weather became very warm and they were amazing. Bought some souvenirs at the Summit shop and she was so rude…sorry to take you away from your phone for a transaction!

One of the best ski resorts in the country. Amazing views, fantastic levels of ski challenge, friendly, helpful instructors and great family fun. Whitefish Mountain Resort ranks at the top tier of American ski resorts.

It was our first time skiing at Whitefish, it was a really fun mountain with lots of terrain to explore, and a nice mix of groomed runs and off piste terrain. The snow was excellent packed powder, with some fresh snow added in. We spent two days on the slopes (on skier and one boarder) and had a blast. We were there on a weekday and there were no lines. We stayed in the town and drove up, and the parking was straightforward.

This is our first time in Montana and we chose whitefish mountain because of its location. We were very happy with the accommodations at the local resort and the lodge itself is very roomy with lots of fires! The ski school was great for the kids to learn to snowboard for the first time! We took lessons and went on some of the easier runs. We plan on going to two or three more over the next couple of days. The lodge is beautiful and the prices are more than reasonable! Great value for a family vacation

The base lodge has decent Wi-Fi if you're in the 'right' spot. Like some before me mentioned, its pretty spotty but if you can get in the right place its pretty good. Cell service is also kind of the same way. You can get great signal in some places and five feet over, nothing.as some people, and rightly so, you don't need WiFi to ski. However, if you're like me and have taken lessons for 3 years with no advancement because once I get going I freak out then the fact that the lodge has WiFi is important. Some people just don't enjoy skiing but like kicking it at the Lodge and making videos. I'm one of them. My family ski's every year. Whitefish so far has been my absolute favorite. But we've gone to multiple ones. This yeas we're trying out Winter Park in Colorado. Lots of cool trails and different difficulty so it appeals to everyone. I'll give a review when we get back in a month. Whitefish lacks sledding but I do know that winter Park has awesome sledding hills with tbars or carpets.
The resort is closed in October- no lifts or summer activities will be open. You can still access the hiking trails on the mountain.
Yes. I love it there. Enjoy your trip. The deer will come up to you no fear
Should be able to at some level. Check to make sure before going
SOME lifts open at 9 others a little later by 9:30 or so. There is night skiing on so.e days
No. But there are savings if you do. I assume you are talking lift tickets. Also a good idea for equipment rentals.
Nope...
Opening day is 12/10 this year. As for the reason, hard to say...
Not yet, it all just melted off the mountain nad it's been pretty rainy, give it another week and a half or so and it should be built back up
