My family of 6 went here for dinner and I really want to love this restaurant but it just was that good. We ordered calamari and a charcuterie board as apps and then placed our dinner order. The apps were excellent. The calamari was hot and crispy. Everything after the app wasn’t good. First of all the food took forever to come out and was cold when we got it so it probably sat there for 10 minutes before it was served. My elk tenderloin had nice flavor but was over cooked. I didn’t return it because I didn’t want to wait another 30 minutes while everyone else was done. The service was slow. We were going to order desserts but it took too long to get a menu when we did we got one menu for the six of us so we just got our check and paid. The best part of the meal was the calamari.

Had breakfast had the Lodge twice during our stay. Everything was good. They have a limited menu for breakfast items, but easy to find something you'll enjoy. Got room service and chips and cheese sauce was awesome as was the recommended mudpie for dessert!

Very cool vibe, great setting. Had live music at the bar on Friday night, super talented guy. Lunch menu good and not much more affordable than dinner. Enjoyed the potato soup and salmon. Well seasoned and prepared. Elk meatballs quite dry and tough but the huckleberry sauce was good and well presented. Great service. Would definitely come again. Around $70/pp

In A Nutshell: -Boat Club is an okay restaurant. -What is nice about it is the view of Whitefish Lake. -The service was lacking, it took about 10 minutes for the hostess to come back to her station when it wasn't very busy. -The service needs to improve for sure. -The food is unique, ordered the Elk Meatballs w/ Huckleberry BBQ Sauce (huckleberry is quite famous around this part of Montana) and the Smoked Flathead Lake Whitefish were pretty good. -The restaurant has good bones, great seating arrangements. Overall, if the service improves so does the rating.
