🤮 Sunnyvale would be a safe place if they had some real morals and public servants,no thanks to the overly aggressive drama queens hiding behind bureaucratic immunity huge egos and a ton of money to be a threat to the community. No accountability transparency or integrity. A burden and nuisance more of a liability than asset to the City.

Went to the department many times for various trainings and community outreach. Incredibly confident and professional staff.

I called a number my mom gave me from the police department just a couple minutes ago because she Doesn’t speak any English and she needs help with my brother who’s really drugged out and they said to have my mom call 911 and they would be able to help her in Spanish. She goes ahead and calls and just gets yelled at for calling 911 because it’s not an emergency at all. One person tells us go ahead you need it and the other goes off because it’s not okay. Get your information straight please!

I waited three day after my visit to Sunnyvale Police Department, to write this review, because I didn’t want my anger cloud my judgment. If I could give zero star I would, but it seems one star is as low as you can go. One too many on my opinion. I went there to ask about a parking citation I received parking my car in front of my house. (Unfortunately, I’m a Sunnyvale residence.) For the people who have never been inside the Sunnyvale police department, you enter a very high security lobby that protects the receptionist by very thick glass (I think she needs all protection she can get with her attitude.) you need to talk to the receptionist via a phone behind the glass. The receptionist is an old lady (I use the term lady very loosely), she is extremely rude, condescending and a bully. How can she hold this job? Their hiring standard must be very low. If she is the face of Sunnyvale police department and the best they have, I really don’t want to meet the rest of them.

It is not right, but it happens all the time. There was an elderly racist cop in Mountain View that harasses residents and even went through the purse of an elderly woman. He conducted a search illegally. He is almost blind. He just wanted to collect his pension.
No. They have to have reasonable suspicion that you are committing or are going to commit a crime.
Write down everything said and done. Assume the worst will happen and be ready to explain yourself if need be. Chances are slim for being in trouble if you ask for help, so In my opinion: don’t hesitate to call PD just to pretend to order a pizza, it works. If you need someone mediating, call them. Better you try then have someone make something up that puts you away
