If you are walking on Lawrence the station is inaccessible without walking several more blocks and cutting through parking lots. It’s as if this station was designed to be discouraging to those who want to use it. My photo shows the view from Lawrence.

1. Small quiet station for santa Clara residents. 2. No restrooms or help staff. 3. A bit far from any other public transport. 4. One of the best ways for Santa Clara residents to go downtown.

Yes, there are ticket machines that take cash or credit cards. I think Caltrain website has videos or steps to use the machines. Not complicated, but might take 1-2 mins.
Must pay $5.50/day at a machine with your space or have a monthly parking pass. But yes, can leave your car.
