Can never get peace and quiet here! Came to work on a project and the guy in front of me is having a conniption fit because his cell phone app wasn't working, fuming and cussing and losing his mind the whole time OUTLOUD. So I move to the windows in solemnity to work some more, but there's an older couple in a room with an open door arguing amongst themselves and I suspect with hearing problems because they had to yell at each other for over 40 minutes, then the lady behind me starts singing to herself, and starts making personal phone calls to people!! Oh yeah and the time before that some old dude next to me had farty pants on and kept farting around the library!!...aaarrgh Napa why are you people so backwards!!?? Do you not understand that the library is for peace and quiet not for you to display all your insanity to the world!!??? Give the rest of us a break!!!

Went for the Friends of the Library Sale. Everyone is so friendly and helpful...

Great library, nice campus, friendly professional staff. Solo patrons frequently use the study rooms which are meant for groups of two or more. Bathrooms are clean. It's easy to borrow books and get them transferred from other locations. Parking is generally a problem.

It's very inconvenient for it to be closed on Sundays. For some of us it's not possible to make it there during the week due to school/work. It used to be nice when it was open Sundays because it was very convenient to be able to come in and write an essay due the following morning and be able to get the resources you needed. Now you guys have made it harder to be able to get our work done.

Yes. We don’t get as many as we used to get but we get the 540 and 1040. Please call before you come to make sure we have the ones you need.
I'd say pretty long. You can borrow a book for 21 days and, depending on the item you've checked out, you can renew it up to three times.
Yes. They have a bin on the east side of the building (loading dock). If you need a tax receipt, they can give (when volunteers are there) or someone at the Reference Desk can too.
The library is not administering the vaccinations but we are sending out the invitations after someone submits the Country’s interest form and their group is activated.
We dropped books off in a box at the exterior community room door during Sunday hours.
Yes. Please call 7072534235 first. We've had to discontinue curbside due to air but are booking appointments with people. See you soon! Or visit our site to make an apt online: https://www.countyofnapa.org/2782/Library-COVID-19-Updates
Thanks for answering me so fast. Totally appreciate that.
Because your privacy is important to us, this is a feature you'd need to turn on before your checkouts are kept in your account. We call it Reading History and your can turn it on and off from our catalog account page. If you need help, please don't hesitate to call and we can walk you though it over the phone. 707-253-4241. Thanks for using the Napa County Library.
Yes
You can donate VHS tapes (& just about anything else) to the Friends in their drop off bin at the back of the library (or in person if they're there accepting them). OR just bring them in. We will take them from you. You can also get a receipt for the donation for tax purposes. Thanks for your interest.
Yes. Monday - Thursday 10-9 Friday - Saturday: 10-6
Sorry. We're closed in recognition of Memorial Day. Open regular hours tomorrow and all our online services (ebooks, newspapers and magazine databases, etc) are available.
