If you are a first time visitor, I would recommend trying the World Famous sundae. Their brownies are great and highly recommended. There is a parking garage that charges 8$ for the first hour (which is usually sufficient to visit the store, enjoy the ice cream and do some shopping). There are 3 stores but I would recommend going to the main one for your purchases.

For chocolate lovers... Fantastic. Every Ghirardelli chocolate product in one place, with ice cream and brownies. Brick buildings, a cool sight to see. Fudge tasting.I had the Hot Chocolate, great. Straight forward bold taste, not too sweet. There is also shopping and a arcade. You can take your order directly across the street and sit in front of the bay. Beautiful area.

It is located at the north point street, you can see beach right across, to reach there if you take the Powell tram you have to get off the last stop (fisherman’s wharf) there are two entrance, one will take u directly to the Ghirardelli store and other entrance you will pass by the fountain and other restaurants, when you enter it feels like you are in a small cute town with lights and such a great vibe it gives. There are few shopping centers and also different cuisines to try around. Its a cute small space full of chocolates and food. Unforgettable experience ❤️

If you're a first time visitor to SF or you're a local looking for an iconic Bay Area souvenir, you're probably gonna end up here. The square itself is quite pleasant to look at, what with the giant Ghirardelli sign overlooking the square. There's a good variety of shops for souvenirs, lunch, a quick round at at the arcade, etc. Parking is surprisingly not too bad right now. There's the garage, but there's also street parking all around the square. Overall, an easy way to kill 1.5 - 2 hours of time while you're in SF.

Yes, There is a parking garage and also street parking. It is super easy to park there and if you spend more than 25 dollars at Ghirardelli Square (any store), you get the second hour for free in the garage and only pay $5 dollars for the first hour and $8 for the each extra hour. Check Ghirardellisquare.com for more information.
No. It's free to get in. Just walk over.
If you are looking for the Ghirardelli chocolate and ice cream place its on level G. Since it gets extremely crowded, there are two facilities on opposite ends.
No admission fee when they are open, other than the current "admission badge" of wearing masks when entering food establishments in San Francisco - as per the capricious Gov't Controls in effect at the time! Government officials eventually die. CHOCOLATE is forever! 😍
Not sure. I'd recommend giving them a call, just to be certain. :)
Powell/ Hyde Street cable car drops you within a couple of minutes walk. Muni #19 #30 #47 #91 buses depending on where your coming from & drop right outside.
Yes, they are located in the back of the square by the second shop.
Yes. If you are going to sit down to eat/drink there, then they do need a proof of vaccination. A picture of your vaccine card on your phone is enough.
In the restaurant only desserts are served. The hot fudge sundae always a winner. Finding seating can be an issue.
They have signs everywhere saying not to leave valuables in the car bcuz people break in..other than that you should be fine
Check google, different stores carry this chocolate and i am sure they will ship it to you. God bless you !!!
If you don't mind walking, it's an easy 1 mile walk. Flat the whole way.
No
It is free. Nothing special. Just a building transformed to a small plaza and their retail shop.
No. You just go there and it is not necessary
Not sure. BUT if you look at the website it should have that information
The square should be open. It's more of a public place. Not sure if all the shops on the square are open.
Not very good, but occasionally you'll find a free spot.
No, I do not think so, but they do have a self guided 4 step way of how they make the chocolate.
I believe I saw one by the middle section inside the plaza.
This weekend, September 9th.
