I am a disabled 33 year old & my doctor thought a dog would do me good since I’m already on all the meds & treatments possible. I couldn’t figure out how to work there website so I came in & Trisha helped me without a appointment. I explained why I wanted/needed dog & she picked out the perfect companion dog a lab/German Shepard mix but mostly lab & she’s extremely calm & is perfect. Highly recommend Trisha & the shelter overall.

They were so helpful with a feral cat we needed help with. We were able to get the cat taken care of and then they gave him back for us to release back to our building at UCDAVIS.

The staff here couldn't have been nicer . We adopted our forever lab today . They are the best . Thank you so very much. God bless.

Was there as a service tech. Staff are good people and they have animals there looking for forever homes and families to love. Please help them with adoption or donate if you can. Maybe both.

mother feral cat had her kittens in our garage what will happen to them?
Yes.
Adoption fees range anywhere from free to $50 depending on the time of year and what promotion is currently running. Right now, for the month of February, adoption fees for animals are only $14 each. However, kittens are not always available. Since cats are seasonal breeders, the shelter tends to see a lot of kittens during the warmer months (May-October) and mostly adult cats this time of year.
When I was there, I saw one medium dog and the rest were large: German shepherd dogs and pit bulls. I didn't see them all. Look on the website, pick out a dog that you like, then make an appointment to meet it. If you go early, the volunteers take them outside for play time. Good luck.
what the heck?
From the animal control or your vet the price will vary. With adoption the animal always comes vaccinated and the cost to adopt is anywhere from 75 to 300 hundred depending on the animal. Just the first shots cost 45 at the feed store
You have to go to woodland to yolo SPCA they are relatively cheap
You can take it to the shelter but you are required to call them 1st
I believe at this moment its by appointments due to Covid.
I know they are backed up for cat neutering but I cannot say for dogs. It would be good to call.
Umm I dont know
Tell her to stop or she and her dog will have to go you don't condone that kind of behavior someone could get hurt then where is the dog going
The shelter's main office has a list of low-cost spay and neuter services
most days, 10am-1pm, 2pm-4pm, or 4pm-6pm
Yes bring them by! Corner of road 102 and gibson
You can go here. Corner of Gibson and Rd 102
You can bring them in
Outreach of the Motherloade in Diamond Springs is fairly reasonable. I got my 2 kittens spayed and chipped for $50 each I believe.
This is a community cat. I will care for her after
Not sure, but I definitely would call and ask.
Yes, you can! I can't quite rember how to do it though :-(. But i think if you go to yolocountysherrif and navigate through their website you can find it. Maybe check under licensing and fess or something like that.
Call the shelter and make an appointment to surrender. They don't always have room to take in animals so if you just show up with your dog you may be turned away. If possible, try rehoming your dog by posting community social media like Nextdoor, Craigslist, and Facebook community groups.
For minor bites, call the police non-emergency line to report the incident. For serious bites, call 911
Great people who ❤ care
From their Facebook page "For the month of September all cat and kitten adoptions are $10"
Usually the next business day.
No...
Clean It up? They aren't pooper scoopers
No you have to be an adult
Yes! The shelter can always use donations of towels, blankets, or sheets!
Call them and ask

You would need to sign some documents to show that it is yours
