Just adopted this little cutie, and had a great experience! Our officer was helpful, gave us plenty of time with the dog on our own. He was neutered at a clinic Tracy, which is super convenient. They also will add on any services at the same time...never been able to do that before 😊 So far he's a wonderful companion who loves everybody. Can't thank the shelter enough for saving so many animals❤️

I have went to this shelter numerous times never once have I had a good experience. I adopted my dog a little over 6 years ago at their facility and they were little to no help didn’t even screen us on if we would be a good fit for him (thankfully we were). on many of the occasions i would stop in there just to see their animals, they have had numerous kittens in one cage and the litter box was so full the kittens were using their food bowl as a restroom. I have went there to see if a dog was chipped and they gave me attitude as soon as I walked in. one of the staff members got into an argument with me for explaining that if they couldn’t get into contact with the owner I would come back and adopt her just to not risk her being put down. they are very rude and unpleasant people. they 100% need to get better staff in there that actually care about the well-being of animals.

I called ahead about a cat I found and asked if it was okay if I dropped it off at the shelter because it didn’t seem feral. The lady over the phone was nice and said to bring it in but when I got there the officer in the front was absolutely rude and interrogated me like a criminal. She told me that they won’t accept him because it was probably someone’s cat and to leave him where I found him. She wasn’t concerned about the cat and was unhelpful. Completely wasted my time

13 years ago I walked into the shelter at the old location and fell in love with Molly and told the Officer (Cindy) to write her up and I'd be back at 3:30pm to pick her up, no muss no fuss. At the time she was approx 5 months old and has been the best companion ever. Manteca, if you're getting this, Thank You. And if you ever receive another Aussie that needs rescuing please give me a call.

We have several non-profit rescues in the Bay Area; we could help get a model started for your community.
We trapped and fixed the stray cats around our home. We found homes for the babies. If you trap and move them, new ferals may just move in.
No
Yes they do
Possibly with parents consent. Do call and ask, if it is, I'm sure they love to have the help. If it isn't I'm sure it due to insurance restrictions. But do call.
I hear that sometimes they do
Not sure. Give 'em a call
I've been looking all around for a cat to adopt and I've found one here that I like and I don't want to leave without knowing if I can adopt it
Ask about their voucher program. You can get your pet neutered at a very good discount
I think it's $20.00 or so... I could be wrong.
No
Yes they are not a non kill shelter they do euthanized dogs and cats after trying to adopt them out and not being successful
Sometimes. They will do their best, but they most likely will tell you to come in and look.
