I was driving through on Saturday evening and saw this little roadside cafe on Route 66. It was busy so I gave it a shot. If it’s busy, it must be good right? I’m happy to report it was great. I learned that it was steak night. Turns out they are open the 1st Saturday of the month till 8PM (rest of the time 7am-2pm) and use a wood fired grill to cook ribeyes and NY strips. So for $21 I got a 14 oz strip cooked medium, salad, loaded baked potato with all the good tasting but bad for you stuff on it and a dinner roll. It was cooked perfectly! I’d like to know what is in that butter they put on the steak…it’s awesome adds some nice flavor. If I’m ever passing through on the 1st Saturday of the month again, I know where I’m stopping for dinner. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the peach cobbler with ice cream for dessert was tasty too. Shhhh! Don’t tell my wife. I’ll be in big trouble for having dessert too! Thanks for the great meal and hospitality. Definitely a nice surprise on the outskirts of the small town of Vinita.

My food was excellent - my waitress was not. Maybe she was havin a bad day or somethin, but I'd be glad to stop in again knowing she won't wait on me. Don't know her name, but I'll know her if I see her.

We almost passed this little jewel and I'm glad we turned back! The food was amazing and to say the portions were generous would be an understatement! The service was excellent and friendly and the atmosphere is just very comfortable. Highly recommend!
