A Photo of my Burger cooked to "Medium" from my last review 6 years ago is attached to this review update. Completely raw. I ordered Medium Well today, and it was a warm pink ALL the way through. When I alerted them of this, they recooked the burger. The new burger was still warm pink all the way through. They refunded me. If I hadn't had issues with undercooked burgers before, I might consider it a wash. I don't know how they keep having this issue with the burgers after all these years. Maybe they’re doing sous vide on the burgers in the back to keep it food safe. Who knows. Hopefully they can correct this themselves before someone gets hurt.

We've eaten here twice. Both times I've been amazed at how quickly, expertly and tastefully our meals were prepared. It's a sit down joint and we hadn't eaten here prior to covid, so I'm not sure how things were before, but we waited briefly in line to order from the bar, put our order in and paid then waited, again briefly for our name to be called. Burgers and fries, fried pickles, all excellent and fresh. A great selection of eclectic condiments (cocoa ketchup is divine!) And an easy going atmosphere. We will be back, again and again.

I have been to this place several times and never had any doubts about their juicy burgers. The service has been great and the staff is super nice. Definite place to dine in if you are in Lawrence, KS.

My taste buds are on fire! Loved my habanero jam and avocado loaded Fire Burger here at the burger stand. Cooked perfectly medium rare, this Kansas beef burger is a must have when you visit Lawrence. Still hungry? Order the gigantic basket of truffle fries. Forget the ketchup and enjoy one of their special sauces. Get in your car now, don't pass GO, proceed directly to the Burger Stand.
