I had Cramer Grass Farm deliver two pallets of sod to my residence. Driver was punctual and courteous. Grass was in excellent condition when arrived. Through no fault of Cranmer Grass I was only able to lay one pallet on the day of delivery due to the temperature over 109 degrees. The following day the high heat had made the second palette mushy like spinach. Again this was my fault. Needing to replace the second full pallet I had lain, I again called Cramer Grass to get a new pallet which I fully expected to pay for along with their fee of $180 to have it delivered. A gentleman who answered informed me they would not deliver without a minimum of two pallets plus the delivery fee. I explained my situation as any good paying customer would do but he had no concern whatsoever and had no suggestions as to how I might proceed. I asked if he knew of any other sod farms that might and he thought they would all have the same response. He was dead wrong. The folks at The Sod company were understanding if my situation and gladly took an order for one pallet to be delivered any time at my convenience. The fee for delivery is only $125. Can you guess which sis farm I will be recommending? Bruce R

Best grass around, but worst customer service. Help is rude and they act like they’re doing you a favor. If I owned the place, I’d clean house with people who smile and greet customers in a positive manner. Then, they’d be five stars, hands down.

I called up to Cranmer a couple days ago asking about their Bermuda sod prices. The first girl I talked to on the phone was ok. She seemed new so couldn't answer all of my questions, but she was nice enough. I asked a few more questions; if she could tell me what species of Bermuda they sold and how much they charged for delivery. Quickly, she had to get someone else on the phone to answer my questions and the next lady was not very friendly. She answered the phone "What are you needing?" in an irritated tone, like I was bothering them. I told her the information I was looking for and she gave me a short generic answer of "it's $100 if within the City of Wichita". She didn't care to ask where I lived to provide a specific quote for what I needed. She just wanted to get off the phone as quick as she could so she could get back to whatever she was doing. Not the service I would have expected from this company being as well known as they are. I guess maybe they've grown too big to care about customer service. I would've expected a little more friendly of a conversation from a place you are planning to spend $2-3000 for sod.

Be aware that this company does not require contractors or landscapers to pay up front; nor do they verify funds when a landscaper or contractor has sod delivered. If your contractor or landscaper does not pay, this company will call and harass the home owner. They will threaten to file a lien on your property because they do not verify funds or require contractors to pay immediately. They also have no respect for your neighbors. When delivering grass they drove their fork lift through our neighbor's yard without permission. On our particular delivery, they took at a cable line from the neighbor's house to the pole. This is a very poorly managed company. They do not hold themselves accountable nor contractors or landscapers. This company places all responsibility on the home owner even though the home owner may not have contractually agreed to work with this company and they are innocent bystanders from the contractor or landscaper who actually hired this company directly. Do not use them. You will be sorry!
