Had an appointment to come visit and check out an apartment before renting one. When I arrived I waited nearly twenty minutes for someone to show up and nobody was in the office. Drove an hour for no reason if you can’t be in the office anticipating someone to rent from you then what makes me believe I can trust you to be a good landlord when I need you?

My experience with Cypress Triple Ridge apartments in Redmond Oregon. The worst part of the whole experience was the fist part. I saw an open unit on their website for $1,305 per month. I applied, was accepted and put down a deposit. They provided a quote with that price, and a summary with that price. ALL of my paperwork was at that price. Only AFTER all of this, they called and said the computer listed the wrong price, and it was actually $1,555 per month ($250 per month difference) I acknowledged the statement but didn’t agree or disagree with it. Once we started getting all of my documents in order I requested that they would ethically honor the price that was quoted, and the price my paperwork reflects. They declined and offered me my deposit and app fee back, knowing full well that there is a rental crisis in Central Oregon and I didn’t have a choice in the matter. I’m paying the $250 difference because I have to. Ethically they should have honored THEIR mistake. Businesses make mistakes that cost them money all the time. It’s whether the company is ethical or not that makes the difference. My second issue… Upon move in the walk through was disturbing. It didn’t look as if the apartment was cleaned. Things that were damaged were not fixed before move in, and there is white paint drops on the floor EVERYWHERE. My third issue… Every apartment is supposed to have an internet modem in the apartment so you can sign up and have internet the same day you move in. Mine did not have one. Therefor I had to wait 6 days without internet. The Century-link guy has been great and offered to pay my first month of service. However the apartments should have had this resolved before move in. My fourth issue… They use this package locker service called “luxer one.” It’s where they deliver your packages into lockers for you to retrieve them. Cypress did not get my paperwork in on time so I have 3 packages sitting in lockers unable to retrieve them. I have been here for 8 days and still missing packages because it is not set up. I was supposed to move in on the 13th, but moved in on the 16th so the company had an addition 3 days to get my services in order, and still failed to do so. The initial $250 extra per month is frustrating, but then moving into a dirty, damaged apartment with my services not being set up on time is extremely frustrating. The staff member I dealt with was great. He did the best he could, and was professional, nice, and accommodating. It’s not his fault. There’s just some major things that need to be fixed when people move in.
