Job was to provide a diagnosis of why refrigerator was not wking.Repairman said it was a board that needed replacement. Sears didn't make it any longer. $174 please. No paperwork, part #, name of part.Repair guy said who could not connect us with his supervisor. Machine 7 years old, when purchased was told Sears Service & Parts were excellent for any repairs we might need in future. What a joke

I had a horrible experience from hell! Purchased warranty from Sears Home Services. December 2018 requested repair of my dryer per contract. Six technicians came and went, difficulty with ordering parts, only 2 seemed to know what they were doing. In May, my husband said, it sounds like a bearing. Repairman said a belt. Sears service was so bad, I was assigned to another company to complete the job. NaNa Repair. The problem was the bearing. Sears customer Service was an experience I wouldn’t wish on a worst enemy! I received a Royal run around, transferred to no less than 25 different people in USA and India over a period of six months. I called every 800, and 866, number given to me as I tried to resolve this poor service and get my dryer repaired as per contract. I fpaid my bill religiously as per my contract agreement up until dispute. End result! Dryer never fixed, not replaced per warranty contract, nor refund of paid $100 deductible. Currently January 2020 I’m still in dispute with them as they want me to pay for a service I didn’t receive as per contract. An insult! I’ve been an excellent customer for 40 plus years. In November 2019, I cancelled the warranty after the dryer stopped working period, still under warranty but I refused to get into the cycle of customer abuse again and I purchased a new dryer from Home Depot. Sears Home Services from me doesn’t even deserve one star! The dispute continues with Sears and now Citi Bank who handles Sears MasterCard accounts.

Tech did requested repair by simply replacing Ice Maker and saying it might take 12 to 24 hours to start functioning. After 3 days, Ice Maker was still not producing ice cubes, when Sears Protection Services was contacted, they could only schedule another repair appointment that was another 3 weeks out. After the call, refrigerator started making a noise which required turn power off and back on to make it quit. When Sears was contacted again the next morning, they could nothing to schedule a sooner appointment and was disconnected multiple times which required multiple calls back to Sears with explanation of why they were being called. Even when they were told that the freezer door had frozen shut over night, they could not schedule a quicker appointment. Was advised to check the email that was received confirming the repair appointment and use the included link to attempt to reschedule the appointment daily. Found link and used it to reschedule only a week out.

Our technician kept in touch regarding scheduling and arrived cheerful and personable after an already-busy morning. Bruce answered my questions, noted my concerns and went to work with competence and efficiency. Our thanks for a pleasant and painless process.
