They offer a 10 piece ($55) and a 12 piece ($75) omakase. I was wondering if there was a difference between the two other than two additional pieces. No, the only difference is just two additional pieces. The two extra pieces were an uni/salmon roe, and a Japanese seabags. I wasn’t that interested in the uni to warrant the extra $20, so I ordered the 10 piece. I also ordered a tamago sushi at the end. It was an enjoyable meal. I appreciated how they had custom toppings to go with each fish. They also had a list of the fish, which I appreciated as I got to see which fish I was eating. My favorite was actually the first, which was a Black Sea bream. It had this unexpected smokiness to it, and a rich truffle flavor, that I really enjoyed. I also liked the scallop with caviar. All of them were delicious. Nothing super stand out to warrant a second visit, but still an enjoyable visit.

I've had one other place for omakasae and this experience was enough to make me not remember the first at all. Delicious food, fantastic service, the owner came over and spoke with us to check on how we were doing. All around great time, worth what was paid, and would definitely recommend and come back!

This is the best sushi in OC and we keep going back! When the owner is the one serving you omakase you know it is amazing!

Came here during lunch time and ordered the 10 PCs omakase ($55). Everything is very fresh and delicious. Would definitely come back again. They do close fairly early at 1:30 pm during lunch time so make sure you get there early.

It will be more expensive than for average sushi restaurant. Also sashimi price is for 1 piece
Yes! I was there last Thursday
No
No. Kind of an upper end kind of place, where quality is more important than quality!! :)
Depends. I would always go with someone who was good friends with the chef so it wasn't usually an issue to substitute one thing for another. If you mean creating an entire omakase experience based on your preferences, maybe not because they usually have the omakase listed by item on the menu for that day.
