Filled out my yearly update. Didn't even put in the paper I needed an interview. They don't answer the phones so if you call be prepared to wait or come in person. But you will be prepared to wait as well. 6th in line and it's a 6 hour wait. I've had food stamps for 8 years. My income has not changed. I fill out paperwork each year. The only thing that has changed was I have my son on there now for the last 7 years. Not for 7 years have I been asked to wait 6 hours just to speak to someone. You would think they would have people actually working. But no they are just sitting there doing nothing.

Awful place. They supposed to help these in need but they don’t - they discriminate people and help the one they like. This country is for everyone who is here legally WE THE PEOPLE. People who work for the government supposed to do their job without discrimination.

I've been a client since my teens. I'm almost 40. The only con is the possibility of not having your current caseworker for very long. I've had about 8-10 over the years. It's frustrating when you need help but stuck with a caseworker you don't get along with.

Get there early. Be nice to them, they'll be nice to you. Instructions were thorough, concise and user friendly. Nice, thick book of resources available just for asking. If you drop something off, get a copy, get a name, get it date stamped. Things get lost. They are short staffed. The computer system needs updating. They are obviously doing the best they can with what they have. If you can't prove you did what you're supposed to, that's on you. I saw some fits get thrown by people who did not take these steps to prove they had done what they were supposed to do. They have thousands of cases, you have one. Be responsible for yourself, be respectful, and they will go the extra mile to help you out and make sure they can help you get everything you need, or tell you the next place to go to get help.

You'll need to call the number to find out unfortunately.
It's just easier to go to the actual location off of 87th st and I-35
U can be a single person with no kids and get food stamps. U can be a non married couple and get food stamps. U can be homeless and get food stamps. It's all based on income
It depends, do you live in a Neighborhood...or, do yu live in the "... Hood" , at is the question. I think you should look at the laws on minors/children about the age of children staying home alone. I wish you the best💜💜💜!!!
You can do either one. Dcf.ks.gov then go to services for online
That's what I'm saying my case workers probably been buried for 40 years cuz I'm old LOL thank you

Yes. The office opens at 8am. Arrive as early as possible for a shorter wait time. If you arrive after 10:30, you may be there for the rest of the day.
The case worker Michael Brown is very good, very professional.
It depends on your income. You'll need to fill out an application before they'll even talk to you.
You can apply online any time.
Yes
