Could not get any help without asking for it. Was treated very rudely. I was dressed nicely with hair and makeup done and fine jewelry on. The girl insinuated that my diamonds were fake (they’re not), and when I saw a dress that I was interested in asked what size an X was she said “I don’t know, I don’t usually deal with the large sizes.” I usually wear a 12 or 14 which I found out later is an X. They lost a sale that day and a customer for life!

I have been a loyal Talbots customer for over 30 years. The other day I went in to pick up a few items. No one down in the Missy section was acting like they wanted to help me so I went up to the Petite section. I stood there and waited while the woman behind the counter was busy on her cell phone. No one was looking on the floor paying attention to the customer. I waited and waited and finally cell phone woman looked up and saw me standing there. No "I'm so sorry for your wait" -or- even a simple hello. What I got was "I was helping a customer on my phone." Uh - seriously? I'm a customer too and I was standing there with clothes and a credit card. Yikes -

Great selection of nicely made and well-coordinated clothing and accessories. Gracious and knowledgable customer service in the Womens size store, where I shop. They will get you into the correctly fitted items, and they will assess how the item should look on you, identifying if something is too long, too low, not a good color, etc. The store is attractive and well maintained, well-lit and spacious enough to easily see the merchandise. The brand has made an effort to listen and respond to customer feedback, which has influenced the merchandise. The clothing proportion is among the best, esp cardigan sweaters and slim pants.

When I arrived at Talbots March 27, I was greeted and asked if I needed help. I explained what I was looking and the color... The sales person returned to folding clothes and never made an attempt to help me locate the item or help me further, so why take the trouble to ask me if I needed help? When I did find the item, it was not in my size, there was no sales person to be found, the original sales person was helping a customer who arrived after me and obvious she knew her. I am from out of town, and do not shop this store often, but this type of service, is unacceptable. Next time I am in town for a visit, Talbots will be off my list.

They are open 7 days a week, I do know that. You might check your local Talbots location online, to find specific hours. I don't work for Talbots. Hope that helps you. Talbots.com then find your local location. Good luck to you. . .
Talbot's is taking extra precautions to protect their staff and costumers. Dressing rooms are cleaned after each use, mask are required, and social distanced practices are in place. Felt very safe while shopping there.
