Service technician was outstanding. He fit us into his busy schedule right before Christmas Eve and we were so grateful. He was thorough and knew exactly what needed to be replaced to fix the problem. His fantastic attitude made it a pleasure to deal with your company. Thank you.

My 3 year old fridge has been unable to cool since 7/27/20. Calling for repair call got me 1 1/2 hours on hold before I got to a representative. The customer service representatives all speak with a Indian accent on a phone connection that sounds like two tin cans and a string. A dead fridge gets me a service tech 7 days after I call for help. All the food in the fridge and freezer has to be thrown away because it's gotten too warm or defrosted. A tech shows up on time and parts get ordered and another appointment is generated for 7 days away. Two separate times that day a tech just doesn't show for the appointment so I spend another 1 1/2 hours on hold to get rescheduled another 5 days away. Escalating my issue sends me to a supervisor that clearly doesn't care because this is probably happening all day long and there's nothing they can do. Everyone is sorry for the inconvenience but no one can get a tech here to fix my problem any sooner. Finally, after that 5 day wait a tech gets here, he's a nice guy; seems very capable, he replaces the part and tells me to wait 24 hours to let the fridge cool down, but it doesn't. It's cool but not at the temperatures it's supposed to be so we don't die of botulism or something. I can't call because it's Sunday and they're closed. Another 1 1/2 hours on hold Monday and another 4 days to get a repairman. Then I get a text saying my service has been cancelled. No lie, ANOTHER hour and 45 minutes to find out what's going on and it turns out they cancelled a call that never got closed from the first time a service tech was here. It's 8/18/20 and my fridge is still unusable. Sears used to be a company I trusted when buying an appliance. Now it is the the company I will never buy from again. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Update: 8/20 Waited all day for a 10-2 appointment. I get a text at 2:15 saying the tech is on his way but he doesn't show. I call at 3:26 and I'm told that he is delayed but will still show today. 5:00 I call and they say the tech will be here by 5:30. 6:00 I call and they show the tech noted that he arrived at the appointment at 4:30 and we weren't home WTH? That's a lie. This is the same tech that was a no show twice on 8/11. Rescheduled for 8/22 If you're wondering why I keep putting myself through this misery and haven't had it fixed by another appliance repair company it's because the unit is still under warranty so no one else will touch it. So we're basically stuck until Sears gets us a competent technician to fix the problem once and for all. I am convinced that this is not a priority for them since we are a warranty fix which they don't make money on. If I were out of warranty and they could charge me for the service call and the parts I'm sure they'd have someone out in a jiffy. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Update 8/23 The same tech that stood us up twice showed up 8/22 a.m.. He ran some tests (maybe or he was texting, I'm not sure) blamed the other technician for not setting the fan and vacuumed out the side vent. Told us to put food in it so it would cool more efficiently. We waited overnight and it seemed like MAYBE it would be okay. Fridge was near temp so we went shopping.......WRONG! Temp shot up to 56 degrees and the freezer was at 20. Moved all the groceries I could into the dorm room fridge in our garage and put ice packs on the rest. Called on 8/24; no one can be here until 9/4. Honestly I'm apoplectic.

Not a great experience thus far. I called for an appointment to have my ice maker repaired in my refrigerator and had to wait a couple of weeks for the first appointment. I did not mind the wait as expectations were set. However, after paying to "repair" my ice maker, the very next day the part they repaired came off and the water was leaking in my freezer. I called Sears to let them know about it, and lo and behold, the first available appointment is in a couple of weeks. To sum up my experience, I paid money for repairs not completed properly, and will have waited over 4 weeks. Follow up to my first review of 1 star. They came out and repaired it properly. Now it is working great. Wish that I did not have to go through all of the hassle. They still need to work on scheduling as took another 4 weeks for the technician to come back and fix what should have been fixed right the first time.

I used the online appt. service and was able to schedule a next business day appointment to check our Whirlpool refrigerator which was pooling water on the lower trays but maintaining temperature. The Sears technician arrived promptly at the beginning of the 4 hour service window and I got an advance email and telephone call advising me within 15 minutes of his actual arrival. We no longer have to wait all day or half a day for a repairman. He identified the problem quickly,(clogged freezer drain), deiced everything and had everything working well within an hour of so after starting the job. He was courteous, knowledgeable, did clean work and kept me closely informed. I was very pleased with the work and should get another 3-5 years service out of our older refrigerator. The cost was reasonable and I applied a 20% service discount coupon to the total bill that I printed out from online. I would recommend Sears home repairs.
