I test French restaurants by ordering French onion soup. So many things can go wrong with this soup. It can be served too hot or too salty or too cheesy or the wrong cheese. The onion can be too raw or too caramelized to be appreciated. The bread too stale or too soft. Here at La Boucherie the soup is perfect. So is the rest of the menu. Try the sorbet to finish. Quite exquisite.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. I came here for my birthday dinner and my date booked a table reservation for us. I was very surprised when I arrived at the restaurant, especially the view from 71st floor is absolutely phenomenal! We enjoyed the sunset with delightful cocktails while waiting for our table to be prepared. It was divine! All the staff were professional, courteous, and efficient. High-quality service, extraordinary menu with ingredients from all around the world, astonishing ambiance, marvelous dining venue, sparkling clean powder room for the ladies, and most importantly, magnificent wide cityscape of DTLA at night (vantage point) at the rooftop! one of memorable fine dining experiences I've ever had, and again, the panoramic view from the private dining area is just magical! Thank you for our host, servers, and the restaurant manager for delivering exceptional service to us, going above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction that evening. I am very pleased that everyone is working together making my birthday soiree super impressive and sensational. A great teamwork, bonus points for taking gorgeous pictures for us with the splendid view of the city. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5 stars all the way!

The tomahawk steak was great. Ambiance is excellent and the service is amazing. Since under new management the menu has gone under many changes so you'll need to adjust. If your small group is celebrating a birthday and need some privacy, I highly recommend one of the starlight booths. Will definitely come again.
