This outdoor gun range is a very nice place. It's clean and very organized and most of all SAFE. They give you 15 min for live shooting and 5 min. to clean up a bit and change your target. The prices are decent and the employees are very nice and helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone.

The staff helpful and supportive. The facility clean and a very nice place to shoot . They have a small shop for targets and ammo prices not to bad. Overall I love this place and will recommend all of my friends to shoot here.

Ok here it is. I have been shooting at Willow Slough for more than 30 years! The first time I was there it was nothing more than a berm as a back stop with no benches, years later nice benches with covers were added. Now another "so called" Improvement to the property. First let me say that when I first pulled into the driveway leading to the range I was impressed at what I saw, it was very clean and looked to be a nice facility. The first thing I was disappointed with was the sign on the door stating that you were not allowed to carry a firearm on the property? Can somebody explain to me why in the free state of Indiana where carrying a firearm has been a way of life for more than 30 years you are not allowed to carry your firearm while at this shooting range? This simply does not make any sense to me. Once inside we were explained the rules of the range, it didn't seem that they would be a problem. You are allowed 15 minutes of shooting with a 5 minute break to go set and check your targets and then another round of shooting for 15 minutes and the cycle continues. Initially that seems to be a good thing, however I did not care for it. I understand it's in the name of safety but it's not very relaxing when you have a guy over the loudspeaker ordering everyone to stop shooting. If you are a Precision shooter you know exactly what I'm talking about but if you're that guy that just wants to go there with a handgun for plinking I guess that would be okay. For me it was not an enjoyable or relaxing afternoon with my son. When talking to others on the Range they felt rushed as well. I personally will never return to that range and have found an alternative outdoor range that is run by the State of Indiana that is free to shoot at. Again, it is a very clean and modern facility however I am giving it one star simply because I felt rushed while on the lane and it just was not a very enjoyable experience.

Actually there is no restrictions..... You sign in and put your vehicle and license plate # and pick your spot.... shot guns on the left and hand guns and rifles on the right..... When you're finished try to pick up your brass as good as you can.... Have fun... oh yea, there is a spot for bow hunters also.....

So you can't fire a Bump Stock or can you?
