As others have said, they've skirted the laws and built up without any permits or care for the surrounding community. They're the largest continous nursery in North America - and they're zoned the same as all our houses (residential agricultural), when they should be straight agricultural, yet they knew agricultural zoning would not be approved in our residential area. So they ignored the zoning laws and built without permits. This location operates as a distribution center for all the other satellite nurseries they operate. There are over 50 truck loading bays operating 24/7. It's as if they built an Amazon distribution center without ever filing for a permit. I agree with all the others, don't buy your plants from Home Depot and Lowe's.

Just wanted to thank everyone at Altman's for yesterday's neighbor event. It got me out of the house at these crazy times and with all the beautiful plants I recieved got me out today fixing up my yard. I will try and post some pictures of everything. Thank you again this was a wonderful event and was ran very efficiently.

Altman Plants is over 600 acres and employs over 400 workers to sell water thirsty plants and non-native plants to Southern California homeowners. Altman Plants use non-potable water to irrigate and has damaged the Community of Lake Mathews with its 24/7 operation requiring massive diesel trucks and trailers and box trucks to move their inventory. Altman Plants is on the scale of an Amazon Distribution Center without concern for the local residents where they established a business to ruin an existing rural community. Please avoid purchasing their plants at Lowes, Home Depot and others.

Met George from Altman Plants at the Home Depot in Laguna Niguel as he was delivering plants. Nice guy and super helpful! He did not need to yet he took the time to answer questions and provide tips on planting and care. I have a positive impression of this company because of George!

I doubt they'll stop production we have months of work ahead, this company does not have any consideration to its employees nor the people that live around.

When is the grading going to stop....You have destroyed our quality of life for the last two months.... We should be compensated for having to deal with the extreme dust and diesel fumes....
