EXTRAORDINARY. Sam Maloof was a genius craftsman. And, Alfreda was an excellent artist. The Maloof Foundation is a treasure!

Visiting the gardens is free and is a good place to take the family for a nice quiet stroll.

I highly recommend booking a tour of the private house. You get a deep look at Sam Maloof's artistry by seeing the home he designed and built. The family's eclectic art collection is also on display in their home that gives you a sense of how much they loved and supported the local art community. If you don't want to tour the house, there is a garden with sculptures and a public art gallery where they display some of Maloof's items along with local arts and exhibits.

Awesome tour. This place has such a feel of comfort and home. Absolutely beautiful woodworking, art, ceramic, sculptures. Lovely plant and sculpture garden. Great museum and gift shop. Very good video before tour. No photographing inside. Reservations a must. Present COVID protocol. A MUST SEE!
