The clergy opened a children's Christmas concert by telling us we weren't worthy to even view the sacrament and he really didn't want us in there among other things. Not made to feel welcomed, just berated. Not much love in this place. However the children were beautiful and wonderfully talented. The teachers did an excellent job and they made the church look wonderful, for an otherwise ugly structure. Concrete pillars and wood, looked like PDX during construction (the outside of PDX). I did however walk away feeling truly sorry for people that have to answer to that priest. Not very Christ like. Yucky

Came as a visitor and attended reconciliation and Sunday mass. I love the church and the sound of the father thru acoustics I'm unfamiliar with. I will tell people that services are available to the English speaking community there and passerbyer. The voice of our god reaffirming that the eucharist is Jesus and we must eat his body and drink his blood The message is still given everywhere Thanks to the Dalles St Peter's I'm back on my journey

Very beautiful church. Well lit and spacious with a large congregation.

Beautiful old church. It was closed on our trip. We would have loved to go inside to see the stain glass windows. They have clear protective glass on the outside. The church was built in the late 1800s and is closed on Mondays and holidays. There was a small parking lot across the street and several stairs leading to the front door.
