One of our favorite Japanese grocery stores in the area. Great deals on multiple items including ramen, snacks, and more! Occasionally you can get clearance prices on some great finds. While produce seems to be overpriced, the watermelon slices are not ;)

Great selection of Japanese products. If you've been to a grocery store in Japan, you will see many familiar brands. If you're new to Japanese grocery foods, you can enjoy a taste adventure.

I love the shredded lettuce with sesame oil salad in the deli section usually right below all the super yummy looking fruit jellos, it's so yummy I can eat it all day, heaven knows I've tried... 😁 I also get ginko nuts here regularly to steam & eat (8 nuts/day max) daily to prevent Alzheimer’s. I've also picked up Japanese dinner wares here, specifically ramen bowls & soy sauce dishes & rice/soup bowls, they're of high quality, it's so convenient, saves me a trip to Little Tokyo. Lately I've been loving the spicy salted egg salmon skin snacks! 😋👍🏽 I love shopping here because it's always so easy to find things, you never havevto walk too far to get what you're looking for, you won't forget which ailse things are at because there are sections of aisles going in different directions thst makes remembering different items in different locations much easier, rather than all aisles facing same direction which makes it harder to remember which items are in which aisle. The service is always friendly and polite, parking is usuallly not a problem.

I'm going there tonight and I'll look for you. They do have sweet brown rice in bulk at co-opportunity market in Culver City
No, but of you want to become a member, you receive discounts. I used to work there.
I think there's fish sauce (they used to at least). There's definitely the Okinawan purple yam, and cracklings.
Yes, ceramic, wood, etc The home section is in the back corner.
Yes, with the picture of citrus fruits on the side.
I don't think they have strawberry milk in the carton/box but I know they have it in cans.
I didn't notice if they have Japanese garlic, but they probably have it in the health food section. They definitely have fresh pickled garlic gloves called rakkyo in the deli and pickles section.
Limited number of people allowed in the store at a time. Masks required. Like other places, 6 ft distances marked off at registers. Plastic partitions separating cashier from customer.
Not well stocked mitsuwa
They do. Trouble is finding them. Ask the floor staff, not the cashiers
I'm not from Marukai. I don't think they have that, but you can always go there and find out in person.
