I recently had the pleasure of being helped by Cecilia Brennan of HKM in San Diego. Cecilia was flat out great! I needed someone to review a separation agreement received from my company to determine if it the terms were fair. I also needed someone to evaluate potential areas of discrimination. First, Cecilia helped me manage the time I had contracted with HKM by breaking it up into short session so I would get the maximum use of the time I paid for. She then reviewed the document and gave me tips on areas that potentially were areas of discriminations. She also identified sections of the agreement I should redline to insure mutuality. Finally, she helped me self advocate for a better agreement financially. The end result was a 138% increase in the settlement offer! I am sure there are other people and companies out there that would charged a high price and in the end left me with nothing to smile about. Cecilia was not one of those people.
