Tried small samples of five different beers. Blown away how each was perfectly balanced. Drank several IPA varieties and a Stout, each tasted great, which is unusual to have so many high quality beers from the same establishment. Brew master I understand left a big city brewer to focus entirely on making small batches of keg beer. IMO the best assortment of high quality beer of any brewer in the country, and I’ve been sampling beers around the world for several decades.

Decided to take a Sunday drive from El Cajón to wherever on highway 67 and ended up at Nickel Beer Company in Julian and was sure glad that I stopped. I was immediately drawn to the C.C. O'Neill Irish Red and after my first two enjoyed some of their cheddar cheese spread with Ritz crackers. I will mention that right now everything is outside seating due to covid. Masks are required to order from a table at the front door and then you take it to your table of choice out on the patio I just happen to pick a beautiful day about 80° so both sun and shade are equally enjoyable. The two ladies that are the staff today we're very friendly and able to explain the different brews available to my satisfaction with not a long time between pours. I'll be glad when they're open again and like to try some different things that will eventually be on their food menu and maybe next time be prepared to take some growlers home to the kids!!!!+

Small brewery in a small town. The establishment is cute and personal. The service was great and the beer was good! Perfect outside seating area to hangout with friends and enjoy the beautiful mountains of Julian.

Awesome brewery out in the hills of Julian, great beer, down home atmosphere and very friendly staff. The deck is a great place to relax w a beer and enjoy a nice view of the trees. I had the wet hopped IPA which uses local hops and it was fantastic. They do blank growler fills and the deck is dog and kid friendly. If you like beer and are in Julian I highly suggest stopping by there!
